New semiconductors with new combinations of properties

Materials Research Bulletin, 1984
Abstract Tetrahedral semiconductors have so dominated both research and applications that most workers scarcely realise that non-tetrahedral semiconductors even exist, let alone that they are extremely numerous and can show interesting and unusual combinations of properties.

New combination therapies for asthma

Current Opinion in Pulmonary Medicine, 2001
Combination products often have useful clinical benefits in asthma. The scientific rationale for combination therapy includes the fact that different agents have complimentary modes of action. Long-acting beta(2)-agonists have effects on airway smooth muscle, and inhaled corticosteroids have potent topical antiinflammatory effect.

New Combinations and Growth

2007
This paper develops an endogenous growth model based on the idea of new combinations of input factors as a growth mechanism. The model integrates the idea of several technologies used simultaneously in producing final output. Innovations are of the horizontal and vertical type and in addition of the type of new technologies which can be combined with ...

New Combinations of Convex Sets

Geometriae Dedicata, 1999
The author introduces and studies new binary operations for convex sets \(K_0,K_1\) in a finite-dimensional real vector space \(V\). They refer to a fixed decomposition of \(V\) into complementary linear subspaces \(L\) and \(M\). If \(x\in V\), \(x=y+z\) with \(y\in L\) and \(z\in M\), write \(X=(y,z)\).
