Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Debris capture during in-water cleaning of ship biofouling
Ship biofouling interferes with vessel operations and spreads non-indigenous species. While in-water cleaning (IWC) with debris capture is increasingly promoted as a management strategy, key elements remain poorly defined, including which materials must ...

A NEW SPECIES OF AEGIALITES [PDF]
During his visit in 1896 to Robben Island, a low rock only 2,000 feet long, situated near the eastern coast of Sakhalin Island, in Okhotsk Sea, Dr. Leonhard Stejneger collected only two species of insects, both Coleoptera. One of them is a species of Bembidium, possibly new, but it should be compared with the numerous species from the mainland, which ...

PARP inhibitors induce a senescence phenotype in non‐small cell lung carcinoma cell lines
Talazoparib is the most potent inducer of senescence among different PARP1 inhibitors in human NSCLC cells. In the absence of PARP, no senescence phenotype was observed, demonstrating that PARP1 is necessary for the induction of senescence by this inhibitor.

Erythropoietin administration suppresses hepatic soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) expression, leading to increased CYP‐derived epoxides. This is associated with a shift in hepatic macrophage polarization characterized by reduced M1 markers and increased M2 markers, along with reduced hepatic inflammation, suppressed hepatic lipogenesis, and attenuated ...

We first identified functional murine mitochondrial N‐formyl peptides (MT‐FPs) and investigated their effects on the in vitro myeloid‐derived suppressor cell (MDSC) generation from bone marrow cells. We demonstrated that MT‐FPs acted directly on bone marrow cells to promote MDSC generation and modulated the polymorphonuclear (PMN)‐MDSC/monocyte (M ...

A NEW SPECIES OF ASTEROSCOPUS [PDF]
Lederer characterizes Asteroscopus essentially as follows: Narrow-winged owlets, resembling Bombycids in the shaggy, loose vestiture. Palpi short, not exceeding the front, drooping. Tongue short and weak. Eyes naked, with bristly lashes. Antennæ comparatively long, with a tuft of hair at the base; in the male with short pectinations to the tip; in the ...
