Results 41 to 50 of about 537,485 (280)
Experiments and thermophysical simulations were conducted to investigate the electron beam powder bed fusion electron beam (PBF‐EB/M) process for the γ′‐strengthened nickel‐based superalloy Inconel 738LC. The results demonstrate the impact of process‐induced microstructural variations on high‐temperature mechanical behavior, providing a basis for ...

HfxZr1−xO2${\rm Hf}_x{\rm Zr}_{1-x}{\rm O}_2$ offers CMOS‐compatible nanoscale ferroelectricity yet suffers from a high Ec${\rm E}_c$ demanding large operating voltages. A unified phase‐field framework spanning AFE/FE/DE phases shows how FE grains soften neighboring AFE grains over λ$\lambda$ ≈$\approx$ 22–37 nm.

Analysis of mixed convecto-magnetic Buongiorno nanofluid flow in a non-Darcy porous medium
Analysis of nanofluid flow phenomena through a stretching sheet in a non-Darcy porous medium has great importance in enhancing transport processes in energy systems like hybrid fuel cell technology, glass blowing, etc.

Cotes’ Queries: Newton’s Empiricism and Conceptions of Matter [PDF]
We argue that a conflict between two conceptions of “quantity of matter” employed in a corollary to proposition 6 of Book III of the Principia illustrates a deeper conflict between Newton’s view of the nature of extended bodies and the concept of mass ...

Some Modifications of Newton’s Method for Solving Systems of Equations
The problem of numerical solving a system of nonlinear equations is considered. Elaboration and analysis of two modifications of the Newton’s method connected with the idea of parametrization are conducted.

Central orderings for the Newton interpolation formula [PDF]
The stability properties of the Newton interpolation formula depend on the order of the nodes and can be measured through a condition number. Increasing and Leja orderings have been previously considered (Carnicer et al. in J Approx Theory, 2017. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jat.2017.07.005; Reichel in BIT 30:332–346, 1990).
