C KEdge NEXAFS of 6HSiC and 3CSiC Systems
Physica Scripta, 2005Silicon carbide polytipes 6H-SiC and 3C-SiC were characterized by optical absorption at the C K edge in the near edge absorption region. 3C-SiC and 6H-SiC showed similarities for energies about 15 eV above the edge. Marked differences were found in the near edge region.

NEXAFS fingerprinting of TiO2(110)-SO2
Surface Science, 1992Polarisation-dependent S K-edge NEXAFS has been used to monitor the progression of the thermally-activated reaction between TiO2(110) and SO2.SO2 chemisorbs at 105 K, reacting to form a surface sulphate-like species as the substrate is heated to ≥ 135 K. This is the final reaction product, having a coverage of 0.1 ML up to at least 450 K.

NEXAFS and SEXAFS studies of chemisorbed molecules
Applied Physics A Solids and Surfaces, 1985Near-edge x-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) and surface extended x-ray absorption fine structure (SEXAFS) spectroscopies and their application to the determination of the adsorption geometry and bonding of low-Z molecules on surfaces are discussed.

STXM-NEXAFS of individual titanate-based nanoribbon
2008In recent years, many low dimensional TiO2-materials, such as nanowires, nanotubes, and nanorods have been successively synthesized. These novel nanostructures bring to reality the possibility to fine tune chemical reactivity as the system structure and the occupation of the outermost energy levels can be tuned by changing preparation parameters.
