Ball‐milling Cu‐based metallic glasses with ceria creates a unique nanostructure where metallic glass particles are wrapped by CeO2 nanoparticles. The intimate integration triggers copper state reorganization during reaction and aging, boosting CO oxidation and COPrOx activity.

Study on the Reaction Mechanism of RuOx and Its Enhanced Hydrogen Evolution Reaction Activity
In situ Raman spectroscopy and DFT calculations reveal that, prior to the onset of HER, the surface of RuOx undergoes reversible reduction and structural reconstruction. The resulting Ru(II)O/Ru(IV)O2 configuration is identified as the true catalytically active species.

A self‐assembled monolayer (≈0.9 nm) of an axially chiral binaphthol phosphoric acid derivative on a ferromagnetic Ni/NiOx substrate shows chiral‐induced spin selectivity (CISS) magnetoresistance of 50%–80%. This thermally and chemically robust functional stack shows the way towards practical spintronic devices based on the CISS effect.

CHARACTERIZATION OF ORGANIC GLASSES BY NEXAFS SPECTROSCOPY [PDF]
The orientational order and morphology of organic thin films play an important role in defining their physical properties. The development of general techniques to define and control molecular orientation at the nanoscale may lead to improved performance

Internal molecular conformation of organic glasses: A NEXAFS study
The origin of the exceptional stability of molecular glasses grown by physical vapor deposition (PVD) is not well understood. Differences in glass density have been correlated with thermodynamic stability for thin films of N,N′-Bis(3-methylphenyl)-N,N′-diphenylbenzidine (TPD) grown by PVD at specific substrate temperatures below the glass transition ...

A non‐destructive, quantitative approach has been developed to explore the nanoscale dynamics of TaOx‐based memristive devices. The utilization of nano‐X‐ray fluorescence analysis enables the direct probing of spatially resolved elemental distributions, including those present in buried layers, that are critical for the resistive switching.

NEXAFS и ИК-спектроскопия Co-допированного SrBi2Nb2O9
The solid-phase ceramic method was used to synthesize cobalt-containing solid solutions based on SrBi2Nb2O9. NEXAFS (Near Edge X-ray Absorption Fine Structure) and IR spectroscopy were used to study the electronic state of cobalt atoms in solid cross ...

A weakly solvating ether solvent, 1,2‐dimethoxypropane (DMP), is proposed for use in localized high‐concentration electrolytes (LHCEs) for lithium metal batteries (LMBs). These DMP‐based LHCEs simultaneously suppress lithium metal corrosion and cathode degradation—two interrelated processes that accelerate calendar aging of LMBs.
