Optimum siting of NEXRAD to detect hazardous weather at airports
Journal of Aircraft, 1983The Federal Aviation Administration has been concerned for some time about the number of aircraft accidents during terminal flight in which weather has been identified as the cause or a contributing factor. The next generation weather radar (NEXRAD), for which final specifications are being worked out on a multiservice basis, offers the possibility of ...

AN APPLICATION OF NEXRAD DATA FOR THE NPS ASSESSMENT AT WATERSHED SCALE
Watershed Management to Meet Water Quality Standards and Emerging TMDL, 5-9 March 2005, Atlanta, Georgia, 2013With the deployment of the weather surveillance radar 1988 Doppler radars, an increasingly volume of precipitation data with high spatial and temporal resolution have become available for hydrologic modeling. We are investigating how to effectively use these data to enhance river water quality assessments.
