The complete mitochondrial genome of Plautia crossota (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae)

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA. Part B. Resources, 2019
In this study, we elucidated the complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of Plautia crossota. The circular mitogenome is 16,809 bp long, including 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNA genes, 2 rRNA genes, and a non-coding control region.

SYNCAS‐mediated CRISPR‐Cas9 genome editing in the Jewel wasp, Nasonia vitripennis

open access: yesInsect Molecular Biology, Volume 35, Issue 1, Page 48-55, February 2026.
Maternal injection of Cas9 RNP together with BAPC and saponins (SYNCAS) results in efficient gene editing of Nasonia vitripennis offspring. The timing of injection and egg collection is important for maximising efficiency and reducing screening effort.

Patogenisitas Beauveria bassiana (Bals.) Viull. yang Diisolasi dari Beberapa Jenis Inang Terhadap Kepik Hijau, Nezara viridula L. (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae)

open access: yes, 2021
Green Ladybugs (Nezara viridula L.) are important pests for several food crops such as soybeans, rice and corn. One of the efforts to control this pest is the use of entomopathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and fungi.

Plastic Behavioral Responses to Ambient Relative Humidity Influence Aggregation in a Large Gregarious Insect

open access: yesEthology, Volume 132, Issue 1, Page 11-17, January 2026.
Madagascar hissing cockroaches (Gromphadorhina portentosa) demonstrated an increased probability of performing aggregation behavior at higher ambient relative humidity levels, indicating environmentally dependent plasticity in social grouping behavior.

Reproduction of Ooencyrtus submetallicus (Hymenoptera: Encyrtidae) and Trissolcus sp. aff. urichi (Hymenoptera: Scelionidae) in Eggs of Nezara viridula (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) of Different Ages

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Sciences, 2021
The study of the interaction between parasitoid and host, especially the age of these organisms, is an important step towards the implementation of biological control programs.

Understanding green stem in soybeans

open access: yesCrop, Forage &Turfgrass Management, Volume 11, Issue 2, December 2025.
Abstract Green stem is a term used to describe abnormal or delayed senescence maturation patterns in soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] where the stems of affected plants stay green even after pods reach physiological maturity. Green stem has been reported by agronomists throughout the United States, but it is generally more prevalent in the Southern ...

Combination of UV and green light synergistically enhances the attractiveness of light to green stink bugs Nezara spp

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
The southern green stink bug Nezara viridula and its congener N. antennata are important agricultural pests worldwide. These species show positive phototaxis and their compound eyes have high sensitivity to UV and green lights.

Influence of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi and Silicon on Soybean Growth and Development in the Field

open access: yesJournal of Sustainable Agriculture and Environment, Volume 4, Issue 4, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Applications of silicon (Si) and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) to soils to increase plant resistance and plant growth and development are potential alternatives in soybean cultivation. Si and AMF promote growth and stress tolerance through increased absorption of essential micro and macronutrients, restriction of toxic ion uptake ...

Microinjection‐enabled gene silencing in first instar larvae of western flower thrips, Frankliniella occidentalis, reveals vital genes for larval survival

open access: yesInsect Science, Volume 32, Issue 6, Page 1969-1981, December 2025.
This study introduces a microinjection technique to deliver dsRNA into the hemolymph of first instar larval thrips (L1s) via the foreleg coxa, enhancing survival rates by minimizing internal tissue damage. Significant knockdown of V‐ATPase‐B, CYP3653A2, and ApoLp‐II/I was achieved, with silencing of CYP3653A2 or ApoLp‐II/I increasing larval mortality ...

Virulence of Entomopathogenic Fungi Isolates against Green Ladybug Nezara viridula L. (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) Eggs

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2021
Green Ladybug Nezara viridula L. spread in tropical and subtropical regions such as in America, Africa, Asia, Australia, and Europe. Imago N. viridula or nymphs attack the legume plants in the generative phase by piercing and sucking pods.
