Dualities in 4D Theories with Product Gauge Groups from Brane Configurations [PDF]
We study brane configurations which correspond to N=1 field theories in four dimensions. By inverting the order of the NS 5-branes and D6-branes, a check on dualities in four dimensional theories can be made.

NF2 inhibits proliferation and cancer stemness in breast cancer
Previous studies have shown that NF2 plays a key role in tumorigenesis. NF2 has been illustrated to be downregulated in several types of human cancer. However, the role of NF2 in breast cancer remains unclear.

Asymptotically Safe Standard Model via Vector-Like Fermions [PDF]
We construct asymptotically safe extensions of the Standard Model by adding gauged vector-like fermions. Using large number-of-flavour techniques we argue that all gauge couplings, including the hypercharge and, under certain conditions, the Higgs ...

Emergence of scalar matter from spinfoam model [PDF]
A spinfoam model of 3D gravity non-minimally coupled with a scalar field is studied. By discretization of the scalar field, the model is worked out precisely in a purely combinational way.

Role of NF2 Haploinsufficiency in NF2‐associated Polyneuropathy
Neurofibromatosis 2 (NF2) is a hereditary tumor disease characterized by bilateral vestibular schwannomas. Polyneuropathy seems to occur quite frequently in NF2 and in most cases, the etiology of this neuropathy is unclear, especially when the neuropathy is symmetric. NF2 is believed to follow the two‐hit hypothesis.

Molecular Genetics of Intracranial Meningiomas with Emphasis on Canonical Wnt Signalling. [PDF]
Research over the last decade recognized the importance of novel molecular pathways in pathogenesis of intracranial meningiomas. In this review, we focus on human brain tumours meningiomas and the involvement of Wnt signalling pathway genes and proteins ...

The genetic landscape and possible therapeutics of neurofibromatosis type 2
Neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2) is a genetic condition marked by the development of multiple benign tumors in the nervous system. The most common tumors associated with NF2 are bilateral vestibular schwannoma, meningioma, and ependymoma.

NF2 alteration is the most commonly–found genetic abnormality in meningiomas and is known to initiate events for aggressive-type meningiomas. Whereas the prognosis of meningiomas differs depending on their epigenomic/transcriptomic profile, the effect of
