Network Middleware Design for Bridging Legacy Infrastructures and NGN
2009 Next Generation Internet Networks, 2009Session-based QoS control mechanism is a key characteristic in next generation networks (NGN). However, the session-based QoS control defined in NGN standardizations is not designed for layer 2 infrastructures, but for border gateway function (BGF) at IP edge.

Hybrid/integrated networking for NGN services
2011 2nd International Conference on Wireless Communication, Vehicular Technology, Information Theory and Aerospace & Electronic Systems Technology (Wireless VITAE), 2011Hybrid/integrated network architectures provide ubiquitous and broadband IP-based services to the end users experiencing mobility in Next Generation Network (NGN). This paper deals with the hybrid/integrated satellite and terrestrial systems like Complimentary Ground Component (CGC) or Ancillary Terrestrial Component (ATC) that allows an efficient ...

MPLS Core Network for an Interworked NGN Providing QoS
2006 14th IEEE International Conference on Networks, 2006Next Generation Networks (NGNs) require the convergence of different access networks. These access networks will interwork through the core network, which should be able to provide the Quality of Service (QoS) required for the different traffic passing through it.

NGN Networks: A New Enabling Technology or Just a Network Integration Solution?
Proceedings of the 5th International Mobile Multimedia Communications Conference, 2009The Next Generation Networks (NGN) technology has been launched by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) as a method for establishing convergence of IP communications. This paper analyses the dynamics of Next Generation Networks (NGN) technology in implementing network convergence.

The Intelligent NGN Technology Operated in Fixed Network
2009 WASE International Conference on Information Engineering, 2009In order to solve the problems that the process of the evolution is only in one step and the investment in network is so costly when the network in nowadays evolutes to NGN(Next Generation Networking), this paper has get a deep research about the soft switch, media gateway control protocol, access gateway and media server and such kind of technology ...

Standardization for ubiquitous networking in IPV6-based NGN
2008 First ITU-T Kaleidoscope Academic Conference - Innovations in NGN: Future Network and Services, 2008As many new types of devices will be connected to networks in the future, we expect that IPv6 will play a key role in object-to-object communications and also militate against address exhaustion of IPv4. Therefore, it is very important to provide ubiquitous networking capabilities using IPv6.

A global service level guarantee in NGN networks
The Second International Conference on Communications and Networking, 2010In this paper, we propose an end-to-end service level negotiation protocol which enables a global service offer covering quality of service (QoS) and security while taking into account user's mobility in this offer. This protocol provides all the domains involved in the transport of a various offered services with a negotiation capability to achieve an

A Conjoint Analysis of a Next Generation Network (NGN) in Japan
The Review of Socionetwork Strategies, 2013A conjoint analysis on a Web survey in 2010 with 160 participants and 8 questions shows that a Marginal Willingness To Pay (MWTP) on a Next Generation Network (NGN) of Flet’s Hikari Next is lower than its actual price as provided by NTT East. Conjoint analysis is one application of conditional logit.

Security issues at NGN networks
2012The major security challenge of wireless networking and mobile communication is to protect network resources and secure end users. Additional security measures are required to cope with the interception of data on radio interfaces and illegitimate access to mobile services.
