Microbusiness Collaboration as a Strategy to Increase Resilience in Natural Disasters
2019Microbusiness, MB, importance for the global economy is uncontestable; they have huge participation of the world's production. Wellington Reef is the northern-most and largest known coral reef in the Galapagos Islands. This study explores the recovery potential of the Wellington Reef when subjected to predicted future El Nino Southern Oscillation warming events that may cause varying degrees of coral mortality followed by sea urchin bioerosion.

Abstract The El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) is a periodic climatic and oceanic event caused by sea-surface temperature and nutrient anomalies over the eastern tropical Pacific Ocean (ETP). Recurring ENSO events have a significant impact on climate and the ecosystems of the circum-Pacific region.

Climate regimes, El Niño-Southern oscillation and konzo epidemics
2015Epidemics of konzo have occurred during severe droughts in parts of east, central, and southern Africa since the 1920s. Occurrence is attributed to exposure to cyanide from poorly processed cassava foods, the sole source of calories when other food crops fail.
