This work demonstrates that replacing Ti with Nb in maraging steel forms nanoscale Nb–Mo particles along boundaries, strengthening the alloy without relying on Ti phases. Heat‐treatment tuning promotes uniform crystal orientation and balanced grain boundaries, enabling strong yet ductile behavior.

Role of Aluminide Coating on Oxidation Resistance of Ni-Based Single Crystal Superalloy at 900 °C
In the present study, the role of aluminide coating on oxidation resistance of Ni-based single crystal superalloy was studied at 900 °C. The oxidation kinetics curves obey the parabolic law in both conditions.

Computational Tools for Designing Ni-Base Superalloys
The main objective of this work is to develop a set of integrated computational tools that can be employed to design Ni-base superalloys. In particular, we developed reliable thermodynamic, kinetic and lattice parameter databases for the Ni-Al-Mo superalloys by combining first-principles calculations and CALPHAD (CALculation of PHAse Diagrams ...

ABSTRACT The present work focuses on investigating the effect of increasing Inconel 625 Fe content on the oxide film composition and corrosion behaviour through XPS and cyclic potentiodynamic polarisation (CPP) studies. Different proportions of ASTM A182 F22 steel and Inconel 625 were arc‐melted to achieve a range of Fe contents (2–15 wt.%) in the ...

It is demonstrated that severe lattice distortion and coherent nanoprecipitates overcome the strength–ductility dilemma and mitigate discontinuous plastic flow (DPF) at 4.2 K. Such microstructural design enhances both thermal and athermal stress components, leading to exceptional mechanical performance.

Joining of γ-TiAl Alloy to Ni-Based Superalloy Using Ag-Cu Sputtered Coated Ti Brazing Filler Foil
Joining γ-TiAl alloy to Ni-based superalloy Hastelloy using Ag-Cu sputtered coated Ti foil as brazing filler was investigated in this study. Brazing experiments were performed at 900, 950, and 980 °C with a dwelling stage of 10 min in vacuum ...

Crystal Viscoplasticity of a Ni-Base Superalloy in the Aged State
Arising from long-term high temperature service, the microstructure of nickel-base (Ni-base) superalloy components undergoes thermally and deformation-induced aging characterized by isotropic coarsening and directional coarsening (rafting) of the γ ...

Laser shock processingcombination with Hf ion implantation results in dual modification on the surface of GH202 nickel‐based superalloy, which induces a large number of crystal defects, providing channels for the diffusion of metal cations. Hf ion implantation forms an amorphous HfO2 layer.
