Computational Tools for Designing Ni-Base Superalloys

open access: yesSuperalloys 2004 (Tenth International Symposium), 2004
The main objective of this work is to develop a set of integrated computational tools that can be employed to design Ni-base superalloys. In particular, we developed reliable thermodynamic, kinetic and lattice parameter databases for the Ni-Al-Mo superalloys by combining first-principles calculations and CALPHAD (CALculation of PHAse Diagrams ...

Precipitation‐Modulated Harmonic Architectures Enable Superior Strength–Ductility Synergy from Cryogenic to Elevated Temperatures in Nanostructured Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Precipitation‐modulated recrystallization enables a programmable bimodal harmonic architecture in a high‐entropy alloy, delivering 1–2 GPa yield strength with >10% ductility from −196 °C to 700 °C. The resulting broad‐temperature robustness arises from the synergy of dual‐mode nanoprecipitation, harmonic core–shell topology, and temperature‐adaptive ...

Nicral ternary alloy having improved cyclic oxidation resistance [PDF]

open access: yes, 1982
NiCrAl alloys are improved by the addition of zirconium. These alloys are in the Beta or gamma/gamma' + Beta region of the ternary system. Zirconium is added in a very low amount between 0.06 and 0.20 weight percent.

Evaluation of superalloy heavy-duty grinding based on multivariate tests [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The quality and economy of grinding depend on proper selection of grinding conditions for the materials to be ground. In order to evaluate the effect of heavy-duty grinding, a new performance index, which includes specific material removal rate, size ...

Driver Behavior Modeling with Subjective Risk‐Driven Inverse Reinforcement Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A subjective risk‐driven inverse reinforcement learning framework is proposed to model driver decision‐making. It infers drivers' risk perception and risk tolerance from driving data. A learnable risk threshold is used to regulate decisions, enabling interpretable and human‐like driving behavior decisions.

Application of Machine Learning in Heat Treatment Process Design of Carburized Steel

open access: yesMaterials Genome Engineering Advances, EarlyView.
To accelerate heat treatment design, we constructed a closed‐loop machine learning strategy involving multi‐source datasets and feature screening. The optimized model accurately predicts hardness and friction coefficients, successfully guiding the process optimization for two typical carburized steels with high experimental consistency.
