Metal complexes as potential ligands : the deprotonation of aminephenolate metal complexes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The cationic nickel, copper and zinc complexes of tris-(2-hydroxybenzyl)-aminoethylamine (H6TrenSal) have been deprotonated using potassium hydroxide. The nickel complex can be sequentially deprotonated to form a series of compounds namely, [(H6TrenSal ...

Realization and Control of Bulk and Surface Modes in 3D Nanomagnonic Networks by Additive Manufacturing of Ferromagnets

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 35, Issue 39, September 27, 2023., 2023
3D ferromagnetic nanodevices are expected to provide enhanced functionality for data storage, magnonics, and spintronics. An additive manufacturing methodology for ferromagnetic Ni is reported by which different networks of 3D interconnected nanotubes are produced.

Measurement of the surface excitation parameter of Kapton, polyethylene (PE), polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), polystyrene (PS) and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)

open access: yesSurface and Interface Analysis, Volume 54, Issue 7, Page 681-687, July 2022., 2022
Reflection electron energy loss spectra (REELS) were measured for five insulating organic compounds: Kapton, polyethylene (PE), poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), polystyrene (PS) and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), as well as for Ni and Si, in the energy range between 200 and 1600 eV.

Nickel‐Catalyzed Hydroborylative Polycyclization of Allenynes: an Atom‐Economical and Diastereoselective Synthesis of Bicyclic 5‐5 Fused Rings

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Volume 364, Issue 10, Page 1716-1723, May 17, 2022., 2022
Abstract A diastereoselective synthesis of borylated bicyclic 5‐5 fused ring systems by a domino Ni‐catalyzed hydroborylative polycyclization of allenynes has been developed. The reaction provides two new C−C and one C−B bonds and constitutes an atom‐economical method.

Interaction of Ni and Cu in accumulation in leaves of the Ni-hyper accumulator, Alyssum murale [PDF]

open access: yesCaspian Journal of Environmental Sciences, 2022
Plants that can accumulate metals to exceptionally high concentrations in their shoots are so-called hyper-accumulators. To further quantify potential interactions between Ni and Cu, the Alyssuem murale grown in soils with factorial additions of NiSO4·6 ...

Geochemistry of Ni in the Cretaceous-Tertiary succession Fiskeler (Fish Clay) at Stevns Klint (Denmark): cheto-smectite of the black marl [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2006
The Cretaceus-Tertiary (KT) boundary at Stevns Klint (the Højerup succession), Fiskeler, consists of a thin red clay layer overlain by a thick one of black marl. These two layers are made up mainly from cheto-smectite and biogenic calcite. The black marl

A Unique Complication after a Routine Operation – Late Pseudoaneurysm of the Brachial Artery after Plate Fixation of Humeral Shaft Fracture. A Case Report and Review of the Literature [PDF]

open access: yesFolia Medica, 2020
We report an extremely rare case of an 82-year-old woman with pseudoaneurysm of the brachial artery developed 22 months after a plate osteosynthesis with angularly stable locking plates for the proximal humerus.
