Modification of Fishbone-Based Hydroxyapatite with MnFe2O4 for Efficient Adsorption of Cd(II) and Ni(II) from Aqueous Solution

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Chemistry, 2021
Due to their toxicity, Cd(II) and Ni(II) ions in the environment are severe. The hydroxyapatite composite was improved with magnetic MnFe2O4 to remove Cd(II) and Ni(II) ions from an aqueous solution.

Comparative metabolomic analysis reveals Ni(II) stress response mechanism of Comamonas testosteroni ZG2

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety, 2023
The focus on the toxicity of nickel (Ni(II)) in animal and human cells has increased recently. Ni(II) contamination hazards to animals and humans can be reduced by bioremediation methods.

Experimental isotopic shifts in Ni II and Fe II [PDF]

open access: yesMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 1992
This work reports about measurements of isotope structure in Ni II and Fe II. We have used spectra from hollow-cathode lamps that have been recorded with the Fourier Transform Spectrometer at Kitt Peak National Observatory. Measurements of isotope shifts yield useful information about atomic and nuclear properties.

DFT Investigation of the Effects of Coexisting Cations and Complexing Reagents on Ni(II) Adsorption by a Polyvinylidene Fluoride-Type Chelating Membrane Bearing Poly(Amino Phosphonic Acid) Groups

open access: yesMetals, 2017
A polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)-type chelating membrane bearing poly(amino phosphonic acid) groups, denoted as ethylenediamine tetra(methylene phosphonic acid) (EDTMPA)-tetrabutyl orthotitanate (TBOT)/PVDF, was employed to remove Ni(II) from the aqueous

Highly effective removal of nickel ions from wastewater by calcium-iron layered double hydroxide

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2023
Water pollution due to heavy metals has become a universal environmental problem. Ni(II) is a common heavy metal ion in polluted wastewater, which has high toxicity and carcinogenicity.
