Laser synthesizing NiAl intermetallic and TiC reinforced NiAl intermetallic matrix composite [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Laser Applications, 2004
The NiAl intermetallic layers and NiAl matrix composite layers with TiC particulate reinforcement were successfully synthesized by laser cladding with coaxial powder feeding of Ni/Al clad powder and Ni/Al+TiC powder mixture, respectively. With optimized processing parameters and powder mixture compositions, the synthesized layers were free of cracks ...

Layered NiAl/Cu/NiAl Composite by SHS in a Mode of Frontal Combustion

open access: yesInternational Journal of Self-Propagating High-Temperature Synthesis, 2020
SHS of layered NiAl/Cu/NiAl composite was studied experimentally and by mathematical modeling with special emphasis on critical conditions for combustion synthesis in (Ni–Al)/Cu/(Ni–Al) compacts. Our results may turn interesting to those engaged in fabrication of functionally graded materials.

Improved Water–Gas Shift Performance of Au/NiAl LDHs Nanostructured Catalysts via CeO2 Addition

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2021
Supported gold on co-precipitated nanosized NiAl layered double hydroxides (LDHs) was studied as an effective catalyst for medium-temperature water–gas shift (WGS) reaction, an industrial catalytic process traditionally applied for the reduction in the ...

Fabrication of NiAl alloy hollow thin-walled component through hot gas forming of Ni/Al laminated tube and conversion process

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2023
The NiAl intermetallic compounds have higher service temperature and lower density than traditional Ni-based super-alloy. In this work, for overcoming the fabricating bottleneck of NiAl alloy hollow thin-walled component, a typical NiAl alloy square ...

Effect of Fe on the high-temperature tribological behavior of NiAl/WC-Fex self-lubricating composites produced by thermal explosion

open access: yesMaterials Research Express, 2020
In order to improve the self-lubricating properties of NiAl-WC composite, a novel solid-lubricating material, NiAl/WC-Fe _x (x = 5, 10, 15 and 20 in weight percent) composites were synthesized by thermal explosion using Ni-Al-WC-Fe mixed powders.

Study on Simultaneous Removal of Dye and Heavy Metal Ions by NiAl-Layered Double Hydroxide Films

open access: yesACS Omega, 2020
Herein, nickel-aluminum-layered double hydroxide (NiAl-LDH) films were prepared by the hydrothermal method. Based on the photoinduced reduction ability and degradation of LDHs on heavy metal ions and organic compounds, NiAl-LDH films displayed favorable ...
