Integrating Patient‐Reported Quality Measures in SLE: Development of the American College of Rheumatology Implementation Guide

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective To support high‐quality, patient‐centered care for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) developed evidence‐based measures incorporating clinical and patient‐reported outcomes measures (PROMs). Using the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR), we conducted semi‐structured interviews ...

General existence proof for rest frame systems in asymptotically flat space-time

open access: yes, 2002
We report a new result on the nice section construction used in the definition of rest frame systems in general relativity. This construction is needed in the study of non trivial gravitational radiating systems.

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

"Nice" Rational Functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We consider simple rational functions $R_{mn}(x)=P_m(x)/Q_n(x)$, with $P_m$ and $Q_n$ polynomials of degree $m$ and $n$ respectively. We look for "nice" functions, which we define to be ones where as many as possible of the roots, poles, critical points ...

Immunosuppressive Mesenchymal Stromal Cells Derived from Human-Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells Induce Human Regulatory T Cells In Vitro and In Vivo

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2018
Despite mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) are considered as a promising source of cells to modulate immune functions on cells from innate and adaptive immune systems, their clinical use remains restricted (few number, limited in vitro expansion, absence ...

Understanding and Optimizing Li Substitution in P2‐Type Sodium Layered Oxides for Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work explores Li‐substituted P2 layered oxides for Na‐ion batteries by crystallographic and electrochemical studies. The effect of lithium on superstructure orderings, on phase transitions during synthesis and electrochemical cycling and on the interplay of O‐ versus TM‐redox is revealed via various advanced techniques, including semi‐simultaneous

Is pulmonary embolism recurrence linked with the severity of the first event? A French retrospective cohort study

open access: yesBMJ Open, 2021
Objectives Severity of a first pulmonary embolism (PE) is sometimes proposed as a criterion for prolonging anticoagulant treatment. However, little evidence supports this idea. We attempted to determine the connection between severity of first PE and the

Further Nice Equations for Nice Groups [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1996
Let \(m>3\) be an integer, \(q>1\) a power of a prime \(p>2\), and consider the polynomials \(F^-= Y^n+T^{q^2} Y^{u'} +X^qY^u- XY^w- TY^{w'}-1\) and \(F^*= Y^{n*}+ XY+1\) in indeterminates \(X,Y,T\) over an algebraic closed field \(k\) of characteristic \(p\), where \(n=1+q+ \cdots +q^{2m-1}\), \(u'=1+q+ \cdots +q^{m+1}\), \(u=1+q+ \cdots +q^m\), \(w=1+

Supraparticles Composed of Graphitic Carbon Nitride Nanoparticles and Silica‐Supported Horseradish Peroxidase as Customizable Hybrid Catalysts for Photo‐Biocatalytic Cascade Reactions in Continuous Flow

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Herein presented supraparticles combine the nanoparticulate photocatalyst graphitic carbon nitride with the enzyme horseradish peroxidase, which is immobilized on silica nanoparticles. In an optimized compatibility range, both catalysts operate effectively within the hybrid supraparticles and catalyze a cascade reaction consisting of the photocatalytic
