Role of Millets for Food Security Under Climate Change
ABSTRACT The accelerating impacts of climate change pose significant threats to global food security, highlighting critical vulnerabilities within the agricultural system. As greenhouse gas emissions continue to rise, global temperatures have increased by 0.6°C over the 20th century, with projections indicating further increases of 0.1°C–2°C per decade.

Dissipation dynamic of nicosulfuron in different types of agricultural soils
This work aimed to evaluate the influence of soil characteristics and the applied amount of nicosulfuron on the degradation rate in soil. Soil samples were collected at three localities in Bosnia and Herzegovina - Manjača, Kosjerovo and Tunjice.

Effect of Mesotrione and Nicosulfuron Mixtures With or Without Adjuvants [PDF]
ABSTRACT: In Field experiments, a logarithmic sprayer was used to screen the efficacy of 28.5% mixture of nicosulfuron and mesotrione, and the herbicides applied separately. Three adjuvants were also used to assess how they affected the potency of the mixture. The objectives were to test whether a mixture was enhancing or detracting the effect relative

Biomass‐Derived Carbon Photocatalysts for Organic Pollutant Degradation: Strategies and Perspectives
Recent advances in biomass‐derived carbon photocatalysts are highlighted, focusing on synthesis, surface engineering, and mechanisms such as ROS generation and band‐gap tuning. Heteroatom doping, heterojunctions, and hybrid architectures boost visible‐light activity, while scalability and stability challenges are addressed for practical environmental ...

Nicosulfuron Degradation by an Ascomycete Fungus Isolated From Submerged Alnus Leaf Litter
Nicosulfuron is a selective herbicide belonging to the sulfonylurea family, commonly applied on maize crops. Its worldwide use results in widespread presence as a contaminant in surface streams and ground-waters. In this study, we isolated, for the first

Translocation of asulam to roots of Rumex is significant. Root exudation at μg/L concentrations may be a plausible input pathway to groundwater, where asulam is frequently detected at ng/L concentrations. Abstract BACKGROUND The herbicide asulam is a weakly adsorbing and, thus, mobile substance.
