Exploring the Joint Association Between Agrichemical Mixtures and Pediatric Cancer
Abstract Nebraska's age‐adjusted incidence rates for childhood cancers are among the highest in the US. Previous studies indicated associations between agrichemical exposures (atrazine and nitrates) and pediatric cancer rate, assuming single pollutant exposure.

Crop rotation and herbicide application timing are useful tools to manage acetolactate synthase (ALS)‐inhibitors resistant Echinochloa crus‐galli. ALS‐inhibitors, while challenged by resistance, remain valuable tools for managing other grass weed species in maize. So, it is crucial to adapt integrated weed management strategies to different grass weeds

Common Cocklebur (Xanthium strumarium) Response to Nicosulfuron [PDF]
The response of two populations (CC1, 43.59°N & 20.40°E; CC2, 44.46°N & 20.17°E) of common cocklebur (Xanthium strumarium L.) to nicosulfuron was investigated both in field experiments and in the laboratory. Population CC1 had no history of treatment with any herbicide, while population CC2 was treated with ALS inhibitor herbicides for six ...

Challenges in bermudagrass production in the southeastern USA
The bermudagrass stem maggot is one of the most persistent pests in the southeastern USA. The damage is evident by chlorosis of the top two to three leaves of the pseudostem. Fine stem cultivars (left) are more susceptible than coarse stem cultivars (right).

Abstract The post‐emergent herbicide options to control grasses in sorghum have historically been limited. Therefore, a mass selection program was implemented to increase the tolerance of sorghum to the broad‐spectrum herbicide tembotrione. The objectives of this study are to determine (i) which observation timing and vegetative indices are most ...

Annual Grass Control in Corn (Zea mays) with Primisulfuron Combined with Nicosulfuron
Efficacy of primisulfuron and reduced rates of nicosulfuron on woolly cupgrass, wild-proso millet, and giant foxtail in field corn was evaluated in 1994 and 1995. Nicosulfuron was applied at 18, 27, and 36 g ai/ha alone and with 20 g ai/ha primisulfuron.
