Transcript correlation analysis allowed the identification of several key nodes in the complex regulatory network of plant iron metabolism. Abstract Arabidopsis thaliana was the first plant genome to be fully sequenced, almost a quarter of a century ago, thanks to The Arabidopsis Genome Initiative, with contributions from scientists worldwide.

Summary Eclepins are root‐secreted compounds that induce the hatching of cyst nematodes. Solanoeclepin A (SEA) and B (SEB) have been isolated as potent hatching factors for potato cyst nematodes (PCNs). SEB is biosynthesized in roots, released into the rhizosphere, and converted into SEA by soil microorganisms.

Two cowpea Rubisco activase isoforms for crop thermotolerance
Summary A vital crop for sub‐Saharan Africa, cowpea productivity, is threatened by climate change, including increased heatwave intensity, duration and frequency. Rubisco activase (Rca) is a key molecular chaperone that maintains Rubisco activity and, due to its thermal sensitivity, is a key target for improving crop climate resilience.

Summary Saintpaulia (African violet) pigmentation is notoriously unstable and sometimes forms white stripes, particularly following passage through tissue culture. White‐striped petals were thought to be due to periclinal chimeras, but we confirmed that white stripes result from epigenetic regulation rather than periclinal chimeras based on the flower ...
