The biosynthesis of feruloyltyramine in Nicotiana tabacum

Abstract The biosynthesis of feruloyltyramine in Nicotiana tabacum Xanthi n.c. leaves is achieved through the action of the enzyme feruloyl-CoA tyramine N -feruloyl-CoA transferase. Its activity is increased 5- to 8-fold following infection by tobacco mosaic virus at 20°.
