A Density Functional Theory Study of the Structural Preferences of Type B Heteropentalene Mesomeric Betaines and Their Non‐Aromatic Azacyclooctatetraene Isomers

open access: yesJournal of Heterocyclic Chemistry, Volume 63, Issue 5, Page 778-784, May 2026.
DFT has been used to rationalize the relative stabilities of the Type B heteropentalene mesomeric betaines (HMBs) and their azacyclooctatetraene isomers; the tetraaza and triaza HMBs are generally expected to be thermodynamically more stable than their azacyclooctatetraene isomers, whereas the converse is true for diaza systems.

Stability of the antimicrobial activity of selected essential oils and nature identical compounds and their interaction with Tween 20 against reference bacterial strains of zootechnical interest

open access: yesItalian Journal of Animal Science
Essential oils (EOs) and nature identical compounds (NICs) express different antimicrobial activity (AAc) which can be affected by variability in composition, stability over time, and the carrier employed for their inclusion in feedstuff and products for

Technological catch-up and strategic technology partnering in developing countries [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper examines the trends in strategic technology partnering (STP) by firms from developing countries over the period 1980-94. The evidence shows that a small group of countries, namely the Asian NICs and Eastern Europe dominate STP activity.

Optical and near-infrared observations of SN 2011dh - The first 100 days

open access: yes, 2013
We present optical and near-infrared (NIR) photometry and spectroscopy of the Type IIb supernova (SN) 2011dh for the first 100 days. We complement our extensive dataset with SWIFT ultra-violet (UV) and Spitzer mid-infrared (MIR) data to build a UV to MIR

Probabilistic Model Checking for Energy Analysis in Software Product Lines

open access: yes, 2013
In a software product line (SPL), a collection of software products is defined by their commonalities in terms of features rather than explicitly specifying all products one-by-one.

Expression of Flavone Synthase II and Flavonoid 3′-Hydroxylase is Associated with Color Variation in Tan-colored Injured Leaves of Sorghum

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2016
Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) exhibits various color changes in injured leaves in response to cutting stress. Here, we aimed to identify key genes for the light brown and dark brown color variations in tan-colored injured leaves of sorghum.
