The kinetics of the hydrodenitrogenation of o-toluidine has been studied between 330 and 370 ◦ C at 5.0 MPa in a continuous microflow reactor over sulfided and fluorinated NiMo catalysts supported on alumina as well as silica–alumina. The silica–alumina-supported catalysts exhibited a higher hydrodenitrogenation activity than their alumina-supported ...

The role of nanobeta zeolite in NiMo hydrotreating catalysts
Applied Catalysis A: General, 2012Abstract Hydrotreating catalyst NiMo/Al 2 O 3 was modified by adding nano-sized zeolite beta and by hydrothermal treatments. The catalysts were characterized by BET, XRD, Pyridine-IR, 29 Si NMR, 27 Al NMR and TEM. The results showed that the addition of nanobeta could significantly enhance the hydrodesulfurization (HDS), hydrogenation, and ...

Hydrodesulfurization of dibenzothiophene compounds using fluorinated NiMo/Al2O3 catalysts
Applied Catalysis B: Environmental, 2003Abstract A series of fluorinated NiMo/Al2O3 catalysts containing different amounts of fluorine were prepared and their activity with respect to the hydrodesulfurization (HDS) of dibenzothiophene (DBT) and 4,6-dimethyldibenzothiophene (4,6-DMDBT) was compared with that of fluorinated CoMo/Al2O3 catalysts. Fluorine modifies two properties of NiMo/Al2O3

Monodispersed ultrasmall NiMo metal oxide nanoclusters as hydrodesulfurization catalyst
Applied Catalysis B: Environmental, 2016Abstract In this study, we report the synthesis of ultrasmall NiMo bimetallic metal oxide nanoclusters (∼2 nm), supported on γ-Al 2 O 3 for hydrodesulfurization reaction. The metal oxide nanoclusters were prepared by colloidal synthesis using oleic acid and oleylamine as ligands, followed by incorporation of nanoclusters into the pores of γ-Al 2 O 3

Hydrodenitrogenation of indole over NiMo sulfide catalysts
1996Abstract Indole HDN has been investigated over sulfided Ni-Mo catalysts in a vapor phase flow reactor. Experiments were performed in a wide range of temperatures and feed concentrations to study the role of o-ethylaniline (OEA), and the effect of the Ni promoter and sulfur compounds in the reaction network.

Surface properties and hydrocracking activity of NiMo zeolite catalysts
Applied Catalysis A: General, 1998The hydrocracking properties of Ni, Mo and NiMo sulphides supported on an ultrastable HY zeolite were examined by studying the hydroconversion of n-decane at moderate pressure (3 MPa). All catalysts were found to deactivate during the first hours on-stream, then reaching almost constant conversion values.

Hydrogenation of Coker Naphtha with Nimo Catalyst
1992Abstract Bitumen-derived coker naphtha was hydrotreated over three commercial NiMo catalysts in downflow pilot reactors. The tests were conducted by varying temperatures (140-280°C), reactor pressures P (3, 4 and 5 MPa), LHSV (1 and 2 hr−1) and at a constant H2/oil ratio (600 S m3/m3).

Niobium sulfide as a dopant for hydrotreating NiMo catalysts
Catalysis Today, 2000Niobium sulfide has been recently found to be an interesting new active phase for hydrodesulfurization. In this work, niobium was used as a dopant for a conventional hydrotreating catalyst. A NiMo hydrotreating catalyst in the oxide form was doped with various contents of Nb precursor salt ...

Hydrodeoxygenation of γ-valerolactone on bimetallic NiMo phosphide catalysts
Journal of Catalysis, 2017Abstract A series of supported Ni-Mo-P alloy catalysts was studied for the catalytic hydrodeoxygenation (HDO) of the cyclic five-membered ester γ-valerolactone (GVL-C5H8O2) as a model compound for pyrolysis oil. Alloy formation in Ni-Mo-P was indicated by X-ray diffraction analysis and X-ray absorption near-edge spectroscopy, which showed systematic ...
