Molecular characterisation of human penile carcinoma and generation of paired epithelial primary cell lines

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Generation of two normal and tumour (cancerous) paired human cell lines using an established tissue culture technique and their characterisation is described. Cell lines were characterised at cellular, protein, chromosome and gene expression levels and for HPV status.

A thermostable trilayer resist for niobium lift-off

open access: yes, 1999
We have developped a novel lift-off process for fabrication of high quality superconducting submicron niobium structures. The process makes use of a thermostable polymer with a high transition temperature T_{g}= 235 C and an excellent chemical stability.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Preparation and Certification of Niobium-Tantalum Concentrate Reference Materials

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2018
BACKGROUND Niobium-tantalum concentrate reference materials play an important role in monitoring mineral smelting and sample analysis. There is a great demand of niobium-tantalum concentrate reference materials in the dressing plant and metallurgical ...

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Influence of Niobium on the Beginning of the Plastic Flow of Material during Cold Deformation

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2013
Investigations were conducted on low-carbon steel and the steel with same chemical composition with addition of microalloying element niobium. While tensile testing was carried out, the thermographic measurement was tacking place simultaneously.

Influence of Nickel on Niobium Nitride Formation in As-Cast Stainless Steels

open access: yesMetals, 2022
The influence of the nickel content and cooling rate on niobium nitride precipitation in as-cast stainless steels were analysed. Niobium microalloying is important for mechanical properties and the prevention of intergranular corrosion in stainless ...

Structure and Magnetism of well-defined cobalt nanoparticles embedded in a niobium matrix

open access: yes, 2000
Our recent studies on Co-clusters embedded in various matrices reveal that the co-deposition technique (simultaneous deposition of two beams : one for the pre-formed clusters and one for the matrix atoms) is a powerful tool to prepare magnetic ...

RaMBat: Accurate identification of medulloblastoma subtypes from diverse data sources with severe batch effects

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
To integrate multiple transcriptomics data with severe batch effects for identifying MB subtypes, we developed a novel and accurate computational method named RaMBat, which leveraged subtype‐specific gene expression ranking information instead of absolute gene expression levels to address batch effects of diverse data sources.
