NIPT and Informed Consent: an Assessment of Patient Understanding of a Negative NIPT Result
Journal of Genetic Counseling, 2016AbstractSince becoming clinically available in 2011, the use of noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT) to screen for fetal aneuploidy has continued to increase. However, it has been questioned whether the education of patients undergoing NIPT consistently meets informed consent standards.

Adaptive Crystal Structures: CuAu and NiPt
Physical Review Letters, 2003We discover that Au-rich Cu1-xAux and Pt-rich Ni1-xPtx contain a composition range in which there is a quasicontinuum of stable, ordered "adaptive structures" made of (001) repeat units of simple structural motifs. This is found by searching approximately 3x10(6) different fcc configurations whose energies are parametrized via a "cluster expansion" of ...

Magnetic properties of ordered NiPt
Physica B+C, 1988Abstract Thermal expansion, forced volume magnetostriction and high magnetic field data are presented on the ordered equiatomic NiPt compound. Values are derived for the magnetovolume parameter κ C (≃3 × 10−6 kg2 A−2 m−4), and for the electronic and lattice Gruneisen parameters (Γ e ≊ 5.6; Γ latt ≊ 2.5) .

Non-invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT)
DeckerMed Obstetrics and Gynecology, 2019Non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) is a screening test that can determine if a pregnancy is at high risk for the common aneuploidies by analyzing cell-free fetal DNA in the maternal bloodstream. The screening includes trisomy 21, trisomy 18, and trisomy 13, with the option of screening for sex chromosome aneuploidy and fetal sex.

Predicting fetoplacental mosaicism during cfDNA-based NIPT
Current Opinion in Obstetrics & Gynecology, 2020Purpose of review Cell-free DNA-based noninvasive prenatal testing (cfDNA-based NIPT) using maternal blood is highly sensitive for detecting fetal trisomies. However, false-positive and false-negative results can occur, which prevents NIPT from being a diagnostic test.

[Broadening NIPT needs more care].
Nederlands tijdschrift voor geneeskunde, 2022In a research setting (TRIDENT-2), Dutch pregnant women undergoing prenatal screening for trisomies 21, 18 and 13 with the Non-Invasive Prenatal Test (NIPT), are offered the choice to also receive information about incidental findings. In a recent report, the Health Council of the Netherlands has recommended to retain this option, but to only report ...

Neinvazivno prenatalno testiranje (NIPT)
