Extension of nature's NIR-I chromophore into the NIR-II region
Two annulated bacteriochlorin isomers exhibit profoundly different spectral and photophysical features, which are attributed to the absence or presence of electronic (and vibronic) mixing of x- and y-polarized transitions/states.

Regiorandom Polythiophenes for Fully Stretchable Electrochemical Transistors and Logic Circuits
Regiorandom (RRa) polythiophenes, once regarded as unsuitable for electronics, exhibit exceptional switching performance via volumetric electrochemical doping. Optimized RRa‐based organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) achieve a high on/off ratio (≈104), stable operation under 200% strain, and enable fully stretchable logic gates, demonstrating ...

We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,

AKARI Near-Infrared Spectroscopy of Luminous Infrared Galaxies
We present the AKARI near-infrared (NIR; 2.5-5 micron) spectroscopic study of 36 (ultra)luminous infrared galaxies [(U)LIRGs] at z=0.01-0.4. We measure the NIR spectral features including the strengths of 3.3 micron polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH ...

Actuating and Sensing Composites of Liquid Crystal Elastomers and Poly(ionic liquid)s
Ionic conductive, mechanically tough, flexible, and stretchable filaments of a composite material comprising a liquid crystal elastomer and a poly(ionic liquid) are produced through 3D printing, which exhibit large actuation strain under stimulation and electrical resistance variation in response to deformation or environmental condition changes. Their

4D‐Printed Magneto‐Plasmonic Microrobots for Programmable Spatiotemporal De‐Icing
A 4D‐printing strategy is introduced to achieve programmable de‐icing devices. By aligning gold–magnetite nanofillers within a photosensitive resin, the printed structures exhibit dual magnetic and plasmonic functionalities, enabling precise spatio‐temporal ice removal through thermoplasmonic effects.

An Engineered Living Material With Pro‐Angiogenic Activity Inducible by Near‐Infrared Light
NIR‐responsive engineered living materials (ELMs) for controlled angiogenesis: Near‐infrared (800 nm) light activates engineered probiotic bacteria within alginate‐based living materials to secrete a blood vessel‐regenerating protein. The released protein promotes pro‐angiogenic effects in endothelial networks and chick chorioallantoic membranes.

Dynamical mean-field approximation for unitary Fermi gas
Dynamical mean-field approximation with explicit pairing is utilized to study the properties of a two-component Fermi gas at unitarity. The problem is approximated by the lattice Hubbard Hamiltonian, and the continuum limit is realized by diluting the ...
