Abstract The moisture content is closely related to the shear creep deformation behavior of soft rock, and the linear creep deformation behavior of soft rock can be described by the classical Nishihara model. However, the classical Nishihara model cannot describe the deformation characteristics of the whole process of shear creep including ...

Thermal fluctuations in the conical state of monoaxial helimagnets [PDF]
The effect of thermal fluctuations on the phase structure of monoaxial helimagnets with external magnetic field parallel to the chiral axis is analyzed by means of a saddle point expansion of the free energy.

A nonlinear fractional-order damage model of stress relaxation of net-like red soil
It is essential to precisely describe the nonlinear characteristics of the stress relaxation behavior to ensure the long-term stability of geotechnical structures in the net-like red soil.

Mechanism of the Photodecomposition of Stable Triarylmethyl Radicals
Photolysis of luminescent chlorinated trityl radicals was studied with density functional theory and the decomposition products were isolated and characterized. It proceeds by a 5‐electron electrocyclization then a 1,8‐sigmatropic chloride shift, forming non‐emissive, less stable fluorenyl radicals.

Magnetic Field Amplification Associated with the Richtmyer-Meshkov Instability
The amplification of a magnetic field due to the Richtmyer-Meshkov instability (RMI) is investigated by two-dimensional MHD simulations. Single-mode analysis is adopted to reveal definite relation between the nonlinear evolution of RMI and the field ...
