Bimetallic Nanoparticles as Cocatalysts for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Production
Recent developments have introduced bimetallic nanoparticles as effective cocatalysts for photocatalytic systems. This review explores the rapidly expanding research on bimetallic cocatalysts for photocatalytic production of hydrogen, emphasizing the creation of carrier‐selective contacts, localized surface plasmon resonance effects, methodologies for ...

Coatings Systems: Chromium Carbide, Nitride and Carbonitride
The process of the chemical deposition from vaporous implies the adsorption of the mobile atoms (monomers) on the substrate surface, their migration with embryos and stable nucleus formation, followed up by further growth through the adsorption of new ...

2DEG properties of AlScN/GaN and AlYN/GaN HEMTs determined by terahertz optical Hall effect
We present a contactless determination of the two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) properties in AlScN/GaN and AlYN/GaN high electron mobility transistor (HEMT) structures using the terahertz optical Hall effect (OHE) over a temperature range of 20 K–360 ...

The dielectric properties of clays are studied on the level of individual monolayers and functional double stacks. The material breakdown characteristics and charge storage performance are analyzed. For illustration, a defined charge pattern representing a cuneiform character is produced, written into a microscopic clay tile, referencing the origins of

Influence of Fatty Acid Alkyl Chain Length on Anisotropy of Copper Nitride Nano-Crystallites
My group developed a simple method to prepare copper nitride fine particles from copper carboxylate in a solvent of long-chain alcohols without the use of high temperatures or high pressures.

Most matter is nominally frozen in the polar regions or space, and liquid crystal materials are no exception. Consequently, soft actuators, including liquid crystal elastomers (LCEs), are inoperative under such extreme cold in response to stimuli, as their motion relies on mechanical deformation.

Defect Analysis of the β– to γ–Ga2O3 Phase Transition
The role of defects at all the relevant stages of the β$\beta$‐ to γ$\gamma$‐Ga2O3 polymorph transition is investigated using a multi method approach. The positron annihilation spectroscopy based results show that the defect density decreases after the transition, and that changes in defect configuration within the γ phase occur with increasing ...

Understanding Decoherence of the Boron Vacancy Center in Hexagonal Boron Nitride
State‐of‐the‐art computations unravel the intricate decoherence dynamics of the boron vacancy center in hexagonal boron nitride across magnetic fields from 0 to 3 T. Five distinct regimes emerge, dominated by nuclear spin interactions, revealing optimal coherence times of 1–20 µs in the 180–350 mT range for isotopically pure samples.

Optical, electrical, mechanical, and thermal properties of group III nitrides, inclusive of AlN, GaN, InN and their ternary and quaternary alloys, are discussed. The driving force for group III nitride semiconductors is their important applications in optoelectronics, microwave amplifiers, and high voltage power switches.
