POLYURETHANE-NITRILE RUBBER BLENDS
Journal of Macromolecular Science, Part A, 2001Polyurethane (PU)/nitrile rubber (NBR) blends of different compositions were prepared by a combination of solution blending and mastication process. The thermal, mechanical, dynamic mechanical, and morphological properties indicated synergistic behavior of the two components.

Nitrile rubbers are broadly defined as copolymers of a diene and a vinyl unsaturated nitrile. This chapter will focus primarily on emulsion-polymerized copolymers of 1, 3-butadiene and acrylonitrile, which represent the bulk of the commercially available nitrile elastomers.

Degradation of hydrogenated nitrile rubber
Polymer Degradation and Stability, 1991Abstract Studies of low temperature degradation were carried out on hydrogenated (HNBR), highly saturated (HSN) nitrile rubber and nitrile rubber (NBR) in the temperature range 75°C to 150°C in the presence of air and high-temperature degradation in the presence of nitrogen from room temperature to 800°C.

Progress in Rubber and Plastics Technology, 2001
Blending of nitrile rubber with plasticised PVC produces vinyl-based thermoplastic elastomers. These materials offer a versatile range of properties and are used in numerous applications; such as glazing gaskets, footwear, cable jacketing, hose, tubing and coated fabrics. In this paper it is discussed how the properties vary as a function of the PVC /

Nitrile and Polyacrylic Rubbers
1987Nitrile-butadiene and polyacrylic elastomers fall into the class of special-purpose, oil-resistant rubbers. Nitrile elastomers offer a broad balance of low temperature, oil, fuel and solvent resistance as related to acrylonitrile content. These characteristics, combined with their good abrasion and water-resistant qualities, make them suitable for use ...

Blends of polyaniline with nitrilic rubber
Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2000Nitrilic rubbers containing 29 or 45% of acrylonitrile were blended with polyaniline doped with different acids (chloridric, dodecylbenzenesulfonic, tetrapropylbenzenesulfonic, and p-toluenesulfonic acids). The blends were prepared by mechanical mixing in a roll-mill and vulcanized in a hot press. The volumetric conductivities and mechanical properties

Anisotropy in Molded Nitrile Rubber
Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 1975Abstract Measurements of linear swelling in solvent of small test pieces provide a useful means of investigating anisotropy in vulcanized products and components whose small size precludes the use of conventional tests on dumbbells, etc. Anisotropy has been found to be present in molded components.

Properties and Degradation of Nitrile Rubber
2020Nitrile rubber vulcanizates containing medium nitrile proportions and a small amount of fillers, offer considerable resistance to degradation by radiations. Modification of plastics, such as polyvinyl chloride, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, and phenolic resins by nitrile-butadiene rubbers (NBR) results in highly improved performances of the end ...

Nitrile Rubber-Polyvinylchloride Blends
Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 1962Abstract Vulcanizable blends of nitrile rubber and Polyvinylchloride combine excellent weather resistance with the low swelling in petroleum solvents of the nitrile rubbers. The Polyvinylchloride functions as a reinforcing agent and increases the hardness, modulus and tensile strength of the material. The principal disadvantages of the addition

Investigation of Abrasion of Nitrile Rubber
Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 1984Abstract Abrasion of NBR appears as a dry (particulate) wear, similar to unfilled BR, NR, and SBR, and filled BR. The abraded surface seems textured on two scales: that of the ridges of the abrasion pattern and that of small particles of debris.
