Investigation of Abrasion of Nitrile Rubber

Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 1984
Abstract Abrasion of NBR appears as a dry (particulate) wear, similar to unfilled BR, NR, and SBR, and filled BR. The abraded surface seems textured on two scales: that of the ridges of the abrasion pattern and that of small particles of debris.

Thermooxidative degradation of nitrile-butadiene rubber

Journal of Thermal Analysis, 1991
Results are presented on: (a) the nonisothermal degradation of nitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) from TG, DTG and DTA data; (b) the accelerated isothermal thermal degradation of NBR at 80°, 90° and 105° from the change in weight versus time data; (c) the accelerated isothermal thermal degradation of NBR at 80°, 90° and 105° from the change in relative ...

Vulcanization and properties of hydrogenated nitrile rubber/nitrile rubber blends

The HNBR/NBR blends were prepared at ratios of 100/0, 90/10, 80/20 and 70/30 (wt%). The compounds by using a two-roll mixing mill at various ratios filled with two types of carbon black loading, GPF N-660 and SRF N-774 (fixed at 50 phr) were cured by three vulcanization systems: conventional vulcanization, efficient vulcanization and peroxide ...

Properties and Degradation of Nitrile Rubber

2020
Nitrile rubber vulcanizates containing medium nitrile proportions and a small amount of fillers, offer considerable resistance to degradation by radiations. Modification of plastics, such as polyvinyl chloride, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, and phenolic resins by nitrile-butadiene rubbers (NBR) results in highly improved performances of the end ...

Nitrile Rubbers and Vinyl Polymer Mixtures

Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 1962
Abstract The outstanding resistance to abrasion, oil, fire and ozone of vulcanized nitrile rubber/PVC blends has stimulated cable manufacturers throughout the world. In this paper the effect of polymer properties on mixing conditions is discussed and physical properties resulting from different mixing conditions reviewed.

Scrap rubber recycling in nitrile rubber composites

2020
In this study, scrap rubber were recycled by blending with nitrile rubber composites, having carbon black as filler. Resulting composites have been investigated, in terms of Theological and dynamic-static mechanical properties as well as their dimensional stabilities in organic solvents, as a function of carbon black-ground rubber compositions together

Advances in Nitrile Rubber (NBR)

1987
Nitrile rubber (NBR) is the accepted polymer for oil, solvent, fuel and grease resistance. Over 300 grades are now commercially available from which the rubber industry can choose polymers that will satisfy the most stringent demands of modern rubber mixing and processing methods.
