[Competitive Selection of Hydroxylamine on Ammonia Oxidizing Bacteria and Nitrite Oxidizing Bacteria].

Huan jing ke xue= Huanjing kexue, 2020
The effective inhibition of nitrite oxidizing bacteria (NOB) is the key to realizing satisfactory nitrite accumulation and achieving effective nitritation. In order to explore the selective effect of hydroxylamine (NH2 OH) on ammonia oxidizing bacteria (AOB) and NOB, a sequencing batch reactor (SBR) with the operation mode of anaerobic/aerobic/anoxia ...

Ecophysiological investigation of nitrite-oxidizing bacteria of the genus Nitrospira

2009
The oxidation of nitrite to nitrate, is performed by nitrite-oxidizing bacteria (NOB). This oxidation is catalyzed by the membrane-associated enzyme nitrite oxidoreductase (Nxr), which consists at least two subunits, the large α-subunit and the small β-subunit, encoded by the nxrAB gene operon.

Exploring the ecology and genomics of globally important nitrite-oxidizing bacteria

2010

Analyses of the microdiversity and physiology of nitrite-oxidizing bacteria in the genus Nitrospira

2011

Nitrite oxidation in geothermal springs: evidence of an upper temperature limit for thermophilic nitrite-oxidizing bacteria of 60 - 65 °C

2012
Despite growing evidence of the importance of nitrification in terrestrial geothermal environments, little is known about nitrite oxidation in these environments. In order to further our knowledge, this study combined cultivation-dependent and -independent approaches with measurements of nitrogen speciation along the outflow channels of two Great Basin
