Elucidating Interaction between Palladium and N-Doped Carbon Nanotubes: Effect of Electronic Property on Activity for Nitrobenzene Hydrogenation

ACS Catalysis, 2019
Nitrogen dopants of carbon materials remarkably improve the stability and tune the catalytic performance of supported metal nanoparticles. However, it is still controversial how the Pd–N metal–support-interaction (MSI) influences the catalysis.

Determination of band edges and their influences on photocatalytic reduction of nitrobenzene by bulk and exfoliated g-C3N4.

Physical Chemistry, Chemical Physics - PCCP, 2019
Thermally and chemically exfoliated metal-free semiconducting g-C3N4 are synthesized from bulk g-C3N4. Thorough characterization of the synthesized materials is performed with the help of XRD, FTIR, FE-SEM, PL, surface area analysis and DRS to probe ...

Methemoglobinemia: Nitrobenzene ingestion

Journal of the American College of Emergency Physicians, 1978
In an unusually severe case of multiple toxin ingestion, a 48-year-old man ingested approximately 300 cc of Hoppe's Gunpower Solvent #9, which contains kerosene, denatured ethyl alcohol, oil and nitrobenzene. The major manifestation was nitrobenzene-induced methemoglobinemia of rapid onset. Treatment involves the judicious use of 1% methylene blue plus,

First-principles study on the mechanism of photocatalytic reduction of nitrobenzene on the rutile TiO2(110) surface.

Physical Chemistry, Chemical Physics - PCCP, 2019
Photocatalytic synthesis of organic compounds has attracted more and more attention recently. In this work, we present a theoretical study on the molecular mechanism of the photocatalytic reduction of nitrobenzene to aniline on the rutile TiO2(110 ...

Radiolysis of Nitrobenzene

Radiation Research, 1972
Radiolysis of nitrobenzene shows that most of the radiolytic products can be related structurally to the parent molecule. Of the gaseous products, nitrogen is the most important. Other gaseous products are hydrogen, nitric oxide, carbon monoxide, and carbon dioxide. Major products are phenol, nitrosobenzene, and the isomeric nitrobiphenyls.
