UM MÉTODO EFICIENTE PARA A OBTENÇÃO DE DERIVADOS DE 1-ALQUILAMINO-2,4-DINITROBENZENO E A REDUÇÃO REGIOSSELETIVA PARA A OBTENÇÃO DE DERIVADOS DE 1-ALQUILAMINO-2-AMINO-4-NITROBENZENO

open access: yesQuímica Nova, 2016
Both primary and secondary amines react with 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene to give derivatives of 1-alkylamino-2,4-dinitrobenzene. These compounds are important intermediates for the synthesis of a diverse range of products.

Positive Electrochemical Potentials Induce Enhanced Chemoselectivity and Activity in the Thermocatalytic Hydrogenation of 3‐Nitrostyrene

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Induced by positive electrochemical potentials, thermocatalytic hydrogenation (TCH) of 3‐nitrostyrene with H2 delivers one single product with six‐fold enhanced yield. The enhanced selectivity and activity originate from changes in the adsorption geometry of 3‐nitrostyrene and in the surface concentration of 3‐nitrostyrene and hydrogen via a concurrent

Computer Vision Enables Monitoring and Kinetic Analysis of Structurally Diverse Carbon Monoxide Surrogates

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A non‐contact computer vision method enables monitoring and quantitative comparison of vessel‐specific CO release kinetics from structurally diverse surrogates in two‐chamber COware reactors, revealing that surrogate reactivity scores correlate with carbonylation reaction outcomes.

Sustainable Pd‐Catalyzed Aminations “on Dirty Water”

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Aminations, done safely yet neat, and therefore, quickly, using low levels of Pd, in “dirty water” that must contain 30% KOH; not NaOH, and not at 5%,10%, 20%, 40%, or 50% KOH. Moreover, no base sensitivity of functional groups! Very cool. Thank you, Nature.
