DECISIVE-FRAGMENT MODEL AND THEORETICAL CALCULATIONS OF SOLVENT REORGANIZATION ENERGIES IN SYMMETRICAL ELECTRON EXCHANGE-REACTIONS IN PARASUBSTITUTED NITROBENZENES [PDF]
The INDO method and Kirkwood-Westheimer approximation were used to calculate solvent reorganization energies in one-electron transfer processes taking place in nitroarene/nitroarene radical-anion systems.

ABSTRACT Malathion (MAL) is a widely used organophosphate pesticide associated with hepatotoxicity through oxidative stress and apoptosis. Morin, a naturally occurring flavonoid, exhibits potent antioxidant and anti‐inflammatory properties. This study investigated oxidative stress, inflammatory, and apoptotic alterations induced by acute and subacute ...

A Computational Study of Toxicity of Nitrobenzenes Using QSPR and DFT-Based Molecular Surface Electrostatic Potential [PDF]
In the present study, the density functional B3LYP/6-311G** level of theory was used to compute and map the molecular surface electrostatic potentials of a group of substituted nitrobenzenes to identify common features related to their subsequent ...

Secondary steric effects in 2,4,6-trialkylated acetophenones and nitrobenzenes: Dipole moments and 13C NMR spectra [PDF]
Dipole moments of 2,4,6-trialkylated acetophenones (II) and bromobenzenes (III) with variable size of the alkyl groups were measured in two solvents.

For nitro group‐containing volatile compounds, a quenching effect was observed for DAMI@MOF, while the non‐nitro compounds chlorobenzene, toluene, and benzene yielded a fluorescence enhancement, rationalized by the relative energies of the derivative 8‐(dimethylamino)‐10‐methylisoalloxazine (DAMI) and analyte S1 states, with concomitant opposite ...

A Reinvestigation of Nitrogen-15 Chemical Shifts of para-Substituted Nitrobenzenes [PDF]
Recently several research groups have determined ^(14)N chemical shifts for para-substituted nitrobenzenes, which deviate both in magnitude and sign from ^(15)N shifts for corresponding compounds reported 3 years ...

Ni‐catalyzed cross‐electrophile coupling (XEC) of aryl iodides with benzyl chlorides proceeds efficiently in the deep eutectic solvent (DES) choline chloride/urea, replacing hazardous amide solvents. Under mild, aerobic, heterogeneous conditions, diarylmethanes form in up to 95% yield.

Recent Developments in Electrochemical Lignin Depolymerization Using Flow Systems: A Mini Review
This review summarizes the current state of the electrochemical depolymerization of lignin focusing on studies performed in flow cells. Three anodic strategies are distinguished: oxygen evolution reaction substitution for energy‐efficient hydrogen generation, nonselective oligomer production, and selective aromatic monomer synthesis, such as vanillin ...
