The Quality Of Finishes On Plantation Grown Timber Species [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
Tests to determine the quality of finish of nitrocellulose and acid catalysed lacquer with and without sanding between coatings were conducted on four fast growing species , namely : batai , yamane , acacia , and rubberwood.

Nicotinamide N‐methyltransferase promotes drug resistance in lung cancer, as revealed by nascent proteomic profiling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
AZD9291 has shown promise in targeted cancer therapy but is limited by resistance. In this study, we employed metabolic labeling and LC–MS/MS to profile time‐resolved nascent protein perturbations, allowing dynamic tracking of drug‐responsive proteins. We demonstrated that increased NNMT expression is associated with drug resistance, highlighting NNMT ...

Improvement of the stability and optoelectronic characteristics of molybdenum disulfide thin-film transistors by applying a nitrocellulose passivation layer

open access: yesJournal of Information Display, 2020
Nitrocellulose is proposed as a passivation layer for multilayer molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) thin-film transistors (TFTs) to improve the stability of the devices.

DNA 3 '-Phosphatase Activity Is Critical for Rapid Global Rates of Single-Strand Break Repair following Oxidative Stress [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Oxidative stress is a major source of chromosome single-strand breaks (SSBs), and the repair of these lesions is retarded in neurodegenerative disease. The rate of the repair of oxidative SSBs is accelerated by XRCC1, a scaffold protein that is essential

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Physical-Mechanical Properties of Nitrodopes Affected by Ultra-Violet Radiation

open access: yesSensors, 2007
The FTIR spectroscopy has been employed in this research work to monitor theprocess of nitrodope photodegradation, by measuring surfaces of bands typical of a nitrogroup.

A “top-down” in silico approach for designing ad hoc bio-based solvents: application to glycerol-derived solvents of nitrocellulose [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Potentially effective glycerol-based solvents for nitrocellulose have been designed using a top-down in silico procedure that combines Computer Assisted Organic Synthesis (CAOS) and Molecular Design (CAMD).

Predictors of response and rational combinations for the novel MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665 in acute myeloid leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study characterizes the responses of primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patient samples to the MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665. The results revealed that monocytic differentiation is associated with MIK665 sensitivity. Conversely, elevated ABCB1 expression is a potential biomarker of resistance to the treatment, which can be overcome by the combination ...
