Grafting of methyl methacrylate to nitrocellulose by ceric ions

open access: yes, 1979
Studies were carried out on grafting of various vinyl monomers to nitrocellulose by ceric ions. It was observed that graft copolymerization occurred only with methyl methacrylate (MMA) and methyl acrylate monomer.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

A nitrocellulose-modified UV-curable acrylated urethane prepolymer

open access: yes, 1996
The effects of varying nitrocellulose concentrations on mechanical properties of polymeric films prepared from UV-curable acrylated urethane prepolymer were investigated.

Dot enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (dot-ELISA) for schistosomiasis diagnosis using dacron as solid-phase

open access: yesRevista da Sociedade Brasileira de Medicina Tropical, 1999
Dacron and nitrocellulose were evaluated as matrices for the dot enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (dot-ELISA) for schistosomiasis and compared to indirect immunofluorescence (IMF).

Live-cell microarray surface coatings supporting reverse transduction by adeno-associated viruses

open access: yesBioTechniques, 2011
High-throughput live-cell microarray technologies that facilitate combinatorial screening of genes and RNA interference (RNAi) would be invaluable in the identification of key gene expression profiles involved in complex cellular behaviors.

Nitration of Chitin Monomer: From Glucosamine to Energetic Compound

open access: yesMolecules, 2021
The nitration of chitin monomer in a mixture of nitric acid and acetic anhydride was conducted and a highly nitrated (3R,4R,6R)-3-acetamido-6-((nitrooxy)methyl)tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2,4,5-triyl trinitrate (1) was obtained.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Preparation and characterization of nano NC/HMX composite particles

open access: yesScience and Engineering of Composite Materials, 2017
Nano nitrocellulose/cyclotetramethylene tetranitramine (NC/HMX) composite particles were precipitated from their co-solutions by the spray drying method. The nano composite samples were characterized by scanning electron microscope, transmission electron

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have
