Arginase Inhibitor in the Pharmacological Correction of Endothelial Dysfunction

open access: yesInternational Journal of Hypertension, 2011
This paper is about a way of correction of endothelial dysfunction with the inhibitor of arginase: L-norvaline. There is an imbalance between vasoconstriction and

Nitrogen diffusion in zinc oxide [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Physics, 2021
Nitrogen migration in ZnO was investigated by nitrogen isotope diffusion. The samples were deposited using plasma-assisted pulsed laser deposition. Nitrogen concentration depth profiles were obtained from secondary-ion-mass spectrometry measurements, and in gas effusion measurements, the molecular nitrogen flux was measured as a function of the heating

Development of low-temperature sterilization device using atmospheric pressure air plasma with circulating flow

open access: yesMechanical Engineering Journal, 2015
Medical instruments are generally sterilized using high-pressure steam, ethylene oxide gas, gamma radiation, or electron beams. However, such conventional methods entail many shortcomings such as limitations of applicable materials, high temperature ...

Absorption and Oxidation of Nitrogen Oxide in Ionic Liquids [PDF]

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, 2016
AbstractA new strategy for capturing nitrogen oxide, NO, from the gas phase is presented. Dilute NO gas is removed from the gas phase by ionic liquids under ambient conditions. The nitrate anion of the ionic liquid catalyzes the oxidation of NO to nitric acid by atmospheric oxygen in the presence of water.

The Effects of CO2, N2, and H2O Dilutions on NO Formation of Partially Premixed Synthesis Gas Combustion

open access: yesCumhuriyet Science Journal, 2019
Oneof the main methods to decrease NO emission during the combustion of gases isthe use of diluents. This study is interested in the effects of CO2,N2, and H2O dilutions in the adiabatic, turbulent, partially premixed combustion of synthesis gas.

Emission factor of ammonia (NH3) from on-road vehicles in China: tunnel tests in urban Guangzhou

open access: yesEnvironmental Research Letters, 2014
Ammonia (NH _3 ) is the primary alkaline gas in the atmosphere that contributes to formation of secondary particles. Emission of NH _3 from vehicles, particularly gasoline powered light duty vehicles equipped with three-way catalysts, is regarded as an ...

Modelling of Biotrickling Filters for Treatment of NOx Analytical Expressions for the NOx Concentration in Both Gas and Biofilm Phases

open access: yesElectrochem, 2022
A mathematical model of an ideal biotrickling filter (BF) system that inoculates a recently identified strain of Chelatococcus daeguensis TAD1 and brings about efficient nitrogen oxide treatment is discussed. The proposed model is based on nonlinear mass

Nitrogen deposition contributed to a global increase in nitrous oxide emissions from forest soils

open access: yesCommunications Earth & Environment
Nitrous oxide is a potent greenhouse gas. Anthropogenically enhanced nitrogen deposition causes natural forest soils to release more nitrous oxide, exacerbating global warming.
