One-dimensional lanthanide chain bridged by nitronyl nitroxide radical ligand: structure and magnetic properties [PDF]
In order to synthesize the molecular magnetic material, the complex{Nd(hfac)3(NIT-5MeThien)}n(NIT-5MeThien=2-(5-Methyl-2ˊ-thienyl)-5--4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-imidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide) has been synthesized by the reaction using radical ligand and Nd(hfac)3 ...

The Cellular and Organismal Effects of Nitroxides and Nitroxide-Containing Nanoparticles
Nitroxides are stable free radicals that have antioxidant properties. They react with many types of radicals, including alkyl and peroxyl radicals. They act as mimics of superoxide dismutase and stimulate the catalase activity of hemoproteins. In some situations, they may exhibit pro-oxidant activity, mainly due to the formation of oxoammonium cations ...

Interplay of Bridge Topology and Conformation in Phenylene‐Bridged Trityl Diradicals
We present a meta‐phenylene‐bridged trityl diradical that exhibits an unexpectedly weak antiferromagnetic exchange coupling J with a strong environment‐dependent magnitude. Combined VSM, EPR, DFT, and MD studies reveal that structural flexibility modulates σ‐, π‐, and through‐space exchange contributions, highlighting the crucial role of geometry in ...

Three compounds have been synthesized with formulae [3-MeRad][Ni(dmit)2] (1), [4-MeRad][Ni(dmit)2] (2) and [4-PrRad][Ni(dmit)2] (3) where [Ni(dmit)2]- is an anionic pi-radical (dmit = 1,3-dithiol-2-thione-4,5-dithiolate) and [3-MeRad]+ is 3-N ...

A unimolecular polyampholytic graft copolymer matrix provides a protective confinement for an electrostatically embedded tetrapyridophenazine‐bridged heterodinuclear Ru‐Pt hydrogen evolving photocatalyst. The matrix slows the degradation kinetics of the catalyst and at the same time does not hinder its repair by ammonium persulfate.
