The hamiltonians of NMR. Part IV: NMR relaxation
Concepts in Magnetic Resonance, 1994AbstractUsing the methods presented in our previous discussions of the Hamiltonians of NMR, we describe the processes that lead to relaxation of spin systems. The same nomenclature and methods of Parts I, II, and III have been used to develop a formulation of time‐dependent operators.

NMR and Spin Relaxation in Systems with Magnetic Nanoparticles
MRS Proceedings, 2006AbstractTo better understand the effects of magnetic nanoparticles to nuclear spectra and spin relaxation in different systems, we have studied 1H NMR spectra and spin dynamics of the host system in liquid and solid suspensions of γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticles.

13C‐NMR relaxation in glycogen
Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, 1996AbstractThis study is the first report on the multiexponential T2 relaxation of the 13C‐1 carbon of glycogen. In contrast to T1 relaxation, which does not display observable multiexponential decay behavior, T2 relaxation is described by a continuous distribution of T2 times.

NMR relaxation in ferro- and antiferromagnets
Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1983Abstract We discuss the new nuclear spin-lattice relaxation mechanism in magnetic materials which is caused by the indirect coupling through magnons between the nuclear spins and the rapidly relaxing spins of impurity ions. This mechanism may be effective under low impurity concentrations; at this the impurity spin system is not saturated.

NMR relaxation in adsorbed water
Journal of Magnetic Resonance (1969), 1992Abstract The NMR relaxation behavior of the proton magnetization in adsorbed water is investigated. Longitudinal as well as transverse relaxation of the adsorbed water as a whole shows a distinct nonexponentiality and the nature of this nonexponentiality is studied.

NMR relaxation times in NMR imaging.
Annals of clinical research, 1984The T1 and T2 relaxation times of pathological tissues can be different from those of normal tissues. It seems that the NMR relaxation times are of great significance in tissue characterization and tumour localization with help of NMR imaging.

NMR Relaxation in Clathrate-Hydrates
1987Clathrate hydrate of tetrahydrofuran was prepared in which the guest molecules contained hydrogen and the water was highly enriched deuterium oxide. Also the opposite case was studied, i.e. the guest molecule was deuterated and the water was normal hydrogen oxide.

NMR Relaxation and Petrophysical Properties
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2011NMR relaxation is routinely used in the field of geosciences to give basic petrophysical properties such as porosity, pore size distribution, saturation etc. In this tutorial, we focus on the pore size distribution deduced from NMR. We recall the basic principle used in the interpretation of the NMR signal and compare the results with other standard ...
