Comments on Enthoven’s “The U.S. Experience with Managed Care and Managed Competition” [PDF]
This session will provide an overview of the U.S. health care system with an emphasis on trends observed since the reforms of the early 1990s. ; How has the health care system adjusted to the introduction of market-oriented medicine?

Scrambling‐Enhanced Quantum Battery Charging in Black Hole Analogues
By employing a black‐hole‐analog quantum battery constructed from a position‐dependent XY model, its dynamical behavior is investigated through a quench of the scrambling parameter. It is systematically quantified that how the simulated scrambling improves key performance metrics‐namely, stored energy, peak power, and charging time‐thereby offering a ...

Deformation Driven Suction Cups: A Mechanics‐Based Approach to Wearable Electronics
Deformation‐driven suction cups enable robust, reversible adhesion of wearable electronics to human skin spanning wide mechanical compliance, without adhesives or tight straps. By integrating mechanics modeling, experiments, and contact mechanics theory, this work reveals how cup geometry, substrate compliance, and interfacial adhesion govern suction ...

We developed a macrophage‐based therapeutic platform, termed trackable tolerogenic macrophages (TTM), for dual‐function immunomodulation and visualization in vivo. TTM cells were engineered to overexpress PD‐L1, incorporate bioorthogonal cell surface tags, and load rapamycin for sustained release.

Magnetostrictive direct drive motors [PDF]
Developing magnetostrictive direct drive research motors to power robot joints is discussed. These type motors are expected to produce extraordinary torque density, to be able to perform microradian incremental steps and to be self-braking and safe with ...

This work introduces a study that identifies HMGCR as a novel target in TNBC and develops a light‐gated PROTAC nanomedicine. Upon irradiation, this agent selectively degrades HMGCR, reprogramming lipid metabolism to induce ferroptosis and potent antitumor immunity, thereby significantly enhancing photoimmunotherapy efficacy.

Non‐Equilibrium Synthesis Methods to Create Metastable and High‐Entropy Nanomaterials
ABSTRACT Stabilizing multiple elements within a single phase enables the creation of advanced materials with exceptional properties arising from their complex composition. However, under equilibrium conditions, the Hume–Rothery rules impose strict limitations on solid‐state miscibility, restricting combinations of elements with mismatched crystal ...

A cobalt (Co)‐SACs consisting of single‐atom Co anchored on a nitrogen‐doped hollow porous carbon sphere (Co1/N‐HCS) is fabricated for electrocatalytic hydrodechlorination of dilute antibiotics. The hollow porous architecture of N‐HCS concentrates the antibiotics, while its curved surface promotes proton transfer at the Co1 site via localized electric ...
