The neuroendocrine organs in adult Noctuidae

A detailed study of the innervation of the neuroendocrine organs in eight species of Noctuidae has revealed a previously undescribed network of serves. A dorsal branch of the outer pair of nerves connecting the protocerebrum with the corpora cardiaca bears fine nerves extending to the ocellar, antennal, and optic nerves and to the orbital setae.
