Imide substitution with bulky 2,6‐isopropylphenyl groups induces perylene diimide to self‐assemble on Ag(111) into a monolayer with two coexisting adsorption heights. Molecules closer to the substrate gain metallic character due to charge transfer from the metal, while farther ones remain decoupled and semiconducting.

From Molecular Design to Optical Anisotropy: Orientation Control in BODIPY Langmuir‐Blodgett Films
The supramolecular organization of amphiphilic boron‐dipyrromethene (BODIPY) dyes in Langmuir–Blodgett monolayers is shown to govern their optical anisotropy. By correlating nanoscale imaging and angle‐resolved spectroscopy, we reveal symmetry‐driven control of transition dipole orientation, enabling either in‐plane or out‐of‐plane optical responses ...

A new method of enhancing reliability for transmission expansion planning
The reliability plays a significant role in power systems and it is an important objective or constraint in transmission expansion planning. Firstly, a DC optimization model was proposed to calculate the maximum arrival power at each load point. Compared

First‐principles calculations reveal that monolayer In2O${\rm In}_2{\rm O}$ hosts type‐II Dirac fermions near the Fermi level, which split into Weyl points under spin‐orbit coupling. The material exhibits negative and giant magnetoresistance, a pronounced spin Hall effect, and phonon‐mediated superconductivity at 1.5 K, establishing it as a unique ...

Giant Bulk Photovoltaic Effect in Two‐Dimensional Topological Ferroelectric Semimetal
ABSTRACT Ferroelectric (FE) metals have attracted growing interest because they combine ferroelectricity with metallic behavior and enable polarization‐controlled band topology near the Fermi level. However, the number of known ferroelectric metals is still limited.

Exosomal miR‐146a‐5p is identified as a pivotal regulator in steroid‐induced osteonecrosis. Its reduction activates NF‐κB signaling, compromises mitophagy, and disrupts mitochondrial bioenergetics, resulting in autophagic disequilibrium. Engineered exosomes delivering miR‐146a‐5p reinstate mitochondrial function, augment oxidative phosphorylation and ...

Eight AB‐type 2D inorganic electrides with negatively charged transition metals are theoretically designed. Their monolayers exhibit intrinsic magnetic ordering, rich topological phases, and ultralow work functions. Supported metal Ru on these 2D inorganic electrides effectively alleviates hydrogen poisoning and enables efficient ammonia synthesis ...
