Specification of Modal Participation Factors in Acoustic Scattering Problems

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 1993
Using the wet modes of a submerged structure as expansion functions, it is shown how the scattered far-field pressures induced by an incident harmonic wave may be modified in a prescribed manner. This is done by applying forces directly to the structural

Development of the S3-HACNEM Simulator Program in order to Solving the Forward and Adjoint Neutron Diffusion Equation for Rectangular Geometry Reactor Cores [PDF]

open access: yesمجله علوم و فنون هسته‌ای
In nuclear reactor calculations, such as burn-up and fuel management, transient analysis, and pin power reconstruction, methods are being developed that are optimal, and are both cost-efficient and time-efficient. In this paper, the discretization of the

NLSS3 Impairs SHM1 Autophagic Degradation to Regulate Leaf Morphology and Salt Tolerance in Rice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In rice, NLSS3 binds and shields SHM1 from autophagic degradation to maintain serine homeostasis. The A132P mutation in nlss3 disrupts this, triggering SHM1 loss, metabolic dysfunction, K+ imbalance, and impaired ROS scavenging, which collectively drive narrow leaves and salt sensitivity.

Development and Validation of a Three-Dimensional Diffusion Code Based on a High Order Nodal Expansion Method for Hexagonal-z Geometry

open access: yesScience and Technology of Nuclear Installations, 2016
A three-dimensional, multigroup, diffusion code based on a high order nodal expansion method for hexagonal-z geometry (HNHEX) was developed to perform the neutronic analysis of hexagonal-z geometry.

Synthesis of Cascadable DDCC-Based Universal Filter Using NAM

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2015
A novel systematic approach for synthesizing DDCC-based voltage-mode biquadratic universal filters is proposed. The DDCCs are described by infinity-variables’ models of nullor-mirror elements which can be used in the nodal admittance matrix expansion ...

Nucleic Acid Therapeutics for “Undruggable” Cancer Targets: Mechanisms, Challenges, and Prospects

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nucleic acid therapeutics bypass the structural limitations of conventional drugs by targeting mRNA rather than proteins. This review examines how antisense oligonucleotides, siRNAs, miRNAs, aptamers, and mRNA vaccines intervene against historically undruggable oncoproteins including Ras, MYC, and p53, highlighting mechanistic advances, delivery ...

Giant Bulk Photovoltaic Effect in Two‐Dimensional Topological Ferroelectric Semimetal

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Ferroelectric (FE) metals have attracted growing interest because they combine ferroelectricity with metallic behavior and enable polarization‐controlled band topology near the Fermi level. However, the number of known ferroelectric metals is still limited.

Engineered Exosomal miR‐146a‐5p Reprograms BMSC Fate and Restores Mitochondrial Homeostasis in Glucocorticoid‐Induced Osteonecrosis of Femoral Head

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Exosomal miR‐146a‐5p is identified as a pivotal regulator in steroid‐induced osteonecrosis. Its reduction activates NF‐κB signaling, compromises mitophagy, and disrupts mitochondrial bioenergetics, resulting in autophagic disequilibrium. Engineered exosomes delivering miR‐146a‐5p reinstate mitochondrial function, augment oxidative phosphorylation and ...

Performance of nearly incompressible materials of four-node tetrahedral element with drilling and strain degrees of freedom

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu
In this study, we investigate the accuracy of four-node tetrahedral elements with drilling and strain degrees of freedom (GNTet4) for nearly incompressible materials. GNTet4 is a one of the generalized finite element method approximation.
