Quenching the Hubbard Model: Comparison of Nonequilibrium Green's Function Methods

open access: yesContributions to Plasma Physics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We benchmark nonequilibrium Green's function (NEGF) approaches for interaction quenches in the half‐filled Fermi–Hubbard model in one and two dimensions. We compare fully self‐consistent two‐time Kadanoff–Baym equations (KBE), the generalized Kadanoff–Baym ansatz (GKBA), and the recently developed NEGF‐based quantum fluctuations approach (NEGF‐

Nodal SN-method for HEX-Z geometry

open access: yesNuclear Energy and Technology, 2016
The problem of spatial approximation becomes very important in the solution of neutronics problems with coarse spatial grids, in particular, in the calculations of fuel assemblies of fast reactors (for instance, BN-800 and BN-1200 reactors) with ...

A rock brittleness index based on the postpeak energy release rate and damage surface characteristics for brittle hard rock

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
This study examines energy evolution in rock rupture via triaxial direct shear tests, exploring the impact of confining pressure and temperature on fracture surface randomness. A novel energy‐based brittleness index is proposed, validated experimentally, and compared with existing methods for reliability and accuracy.

Seismic analysis and design of tunnels within fault ground: A review

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
The research methods of seismic response of tunnels within fault ground, including field investigations, analytical solutions, physical experiments, and numerical simulations, and seismic countermeasures are discussed. The present study examines the shortcomings and limitations of the current research and design, and puts forward proposals for future ...

Systematic Derivation for Quadrature Oscillators Using CCCCTAs [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2015
According to 16 nullor-mirror models of the current-controlled current conveyor transconductance amplifier (CCCCTA) and using nodal admittance matrix (NAM) expansion method, three different classes of the double-mode quadrature oscillators employed ...

Zebrafish inversin mutants develop scoliosis in the absence of laterality defects

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Human mutations in INVERSIN are associated with nephronophthisis, variable penetrance of situs inversus and congenital heart disease. Inversin has been shown to localize to cilia and many of the patient phenotypes are attributed to disrupted cilia function.

Synthesis of Oscillators Using Limit Variables and NAM Expansion

open access: yesActive and Passive Electronic Components, 2011
A systematic synthesis procedure for generating second-order grounded passive element canonic oscillators is given. The synthesis procedure is based on using nodal admittance matrix (NAM) expansion with the bracket method as well as using the infinity ...

Regioselective Oxidative Oligomerization of 2‐Tert‐Butylpyrene Toward Structurally Defined Oligomers and Their Application in Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
Treatment of 2‐tert‐butylpyrene with Cu2+ afforded structurally well‐defined pyrene oligomers, up to the 13‐mer. Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction, spectroscopic analyses, and computational studies were conducted to evaluate the properties of the resulting oligopyrenes.

Presurgical magnetoencephalography‐derived network control metrics distinguish successful hippocampal resection vs sparing in temporal lobe epilepsy

open access: yesEpilepsia, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Surgical decision‐making in temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) faces a critical challenge in determining whether the hippocampus can be safely spared during anterior temporal resection, particularly when surgery involves the language‐dominant hemisphere.

Numerical and Experimental Evaluation of a Simplified Lateral Spring Formulation for Rocking Structures

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Rocking podium isolation systems have gained significant research interest as a method of limiting seismic demands on superstructures and eliminating residual post‐earthquake drifts through self‐centring behaviour. However, while numerous models of varying complexity, including analytical, phenomenological, and physical formulations, have been
