Relocation and focal mechanisms of the 2021 Wuzhong-Lingwu ML3.6 seismic swarm
From July 18 to August 7 in 2021, a significant activity of ML3.6 earthquake swarm occurred in Wuzhong-Lingwu area, Ningxia. In this paper, the earthquake swarm are relocated using the multi-step locating method.

Investigation of the modular building metal frame nodal connection rotational stiffness [PDF]
The research subject is the rotational stiffness of the modular building metal frame nodal connection. The stiffness of nodal connections has a significant impact on the results of calculating the load-bearing frame of a modular building.

Numerical Solutions of Inverse Nodal Problems for a Boundary Value Problem
In this paper, we study inverse nodal problems for a boundary value problem. A uniqueness result for the potential function and a reconstruction method are obtained.

A reactive algorithm for deducing nodal forwarding behavior in a multihop ad-hoc wireless network in the presence of errors [PDF]
A novel algorithm is presented to deduce individual nodal forwarding behavior from standard end-to-end acknowledgments. The algorithm is based on a well-established mathematical method and is robust to network related errors and nodal behavior changes ...

Normative expression and accurate understanding of focal mechanism parameters
This paper aims at the understanding of the relationship between the upper and lower hemisphere projection maps of the focal sphere, the correct reading of the focal mechanism parameters on the projection diagram, and to investigate if there is ...

Nonlinear nonhomogeneous Neumann eigenvalue problems
We consider a nonlinear parametric Neumann problem driven by a nonhomogeneous differential operator with a reaction which is $(p-1)$-superlinear near $\pm\infty$ and exhibits concave terms near zero.

NODAL SOLUTIONS OF NONLOCAL BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS
We study the nonlinear boundary value problem consisting of the second order differential equation on [a, b] and a boundary condition involving a Riemann‐Stieltjes integral. By relating it to the eigenvalues of a linear Sturm‐Liouville problem with a two‐point separated boundary condition, we obtain results on the existence and nonexistence of nodal ...

Nodal solutions for some singularly perturbed Dirichlet problems [PDF]
Summary: We consider the equation \( -\varepsilon^2 \Delta u+u=f(u)\) in a bounded, smooth domain \( \Omega \subset \mathbb R^N\) with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions. We prove the existence of nodal solutions with multiple peaks concentrating at different points of \( \Omega\).

Nodal line structure of least energy nodal solutions for Lane–Emden problems
In this Note, we consider the Lane–Emden problem −Δu=λ2|u|p−2u with Dirichlet boundary conditions, where the domain Ω is an open bounded subset of R2, λ2 is the second eigenvalue of −Δ, and p>2. We prove that, if Ω is C2 and convex, the nodal line intersects ∂Ω when p is close to 2. In contrast, we also exhibit a connected — but not simply connected
