Efficient physical intrusion detection in Internet of Things: A Node deployment approach
Computer Networks, 2019Abstract In Internet of Things (IoT), intrusion detection plays an important role in many applications for detecting malicious intruders. The intruder can be, an unexpected physically moving entity, invading an area under surveillance, or an adversary in a battlefield.

Nodes, paths and edges: Considerations on the complexity of crime and the physical environment
Journal of Environmental Psychology, 1993Crime has long been thought to be intimately associated with the physical environment in which it occurs. Theoretical and empirical developments over the past 20 years demonstrate that this relationship is complex and varies substantially at different levels of spatial and temporal resolution. Research on the distribution of property crimes in time and

Yield impact from physical design at advanced technology nodes
2007 7th International Conference on ASIC, 2007As technology approach physical and atomic limit, designers need to understand yield impact with various physical design trade-offs. In this paper, we present various yield models and their relationship to physical layout in technology node 65 nm and beyond.

An Integrated Approach to Virtual Network Embedding with Sharing Physical Nodes
2012 Fourth International Conference on Multimedia Information Networking and Security, 2012This paper proposes an integrated approach to the VNE problem, in which different virtual nodes of a virtual network could be assigned to a physical node as long as this node's available resources can satisfy the total resource requirements of these virtual nodes. We carry out extensive simulations to investigate the benefits of sharing physical nodes.

Caching Scheme with Edge Nodes for Mobile Cyber Physical Systems
2017 IEEE 15th Intl Conf on Dependable, Autonomic and Secure Computing, 15th Intl Conf on Pervasive Intelligence and Computing, 3rd Intl Conf on Big Data Intelligence and Computing and Cyber Science and Technology Congress(DASC/PiCom/DataCom/CyberSciTech), 2017To improve user's quality of experience (QoE) in Mobile Cyber Physical Systems (MCPS), caching layered contents at a group of edge nodes that are close to mobile users has been advocated as an efficient solution. However, due to the complexity of trust management and the limited caching capacity of edge nodes, designing an efficient caching scheme for ...

We propose the concept of the "Internet of Haptics" (IoH) that enables sharing experiences of others with the sense of touch. IoH allows to multicast haptic sensation from one Sensor-Node (Inter-Node) to multiple Actuator-Node (Ceive-Node) and to multicast from multiple Inter-Node to multiple Ceive-Node via the Internet.

Energy-based anchor node selection for IoT physical layer authentication
2016 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2016We consider a cellular Internet of things (CIoT) network where many source nodes aim at exchanging messages with a single concentrator node. To this end, they are assisted by anchor nodes that are trusted and securely connected with the concentrator node.

Proceedings of the 2017 Conference on Interaction Design and Children, 2017
We present the initial design process of Scratch Nodes, a sensor-based prototype designed to augment children's social-physical outdoor play. Scratch Nodes has two main components: a hardware device and a tablet-based coding environment. The prototype was designed for 8-12 year old children with the goal of encouraging physical play, social interaction,

A physical interpretation of the multiple-node removal algorithm of a flow graph
Proceedings of the IEEE, 1969A simple physical interpretation of the multiple-node removal algorithm for both Coates' flow graph and Mason's signal-flow graph is presented. It is shown that the transmittances associated with the branches of a reduced flow graph can be interpreted as the graph transmissions of certain subgraphs.
