Damage modelling in nodular cast iron [PDF]
The damage mechanism of two types of ductile cast iron have been studied by precise microscopical observations and careful chemical, morphological and mechanical characterizations. Two modes of damage are observed as a function of graphite morphology : the void growth at the pole of the graphite or the void growth by internal cracking.

Effect of carbon equivalent on graphite formation in heavy-section ductile iron parts [PDF]
The influence of post-inoculation and of cerium and antimony additions on the solidification process and on the formation of chunky graphite in ductile iron heavy-section parts have been studied previously in the case of near-eutectic alloys. It appeared

Nodular Cast Iron – Fatigue Crack Measurement and Simulation [PDF]
Study presented in this paper is concerned with fatigue crack initiation detection, crack propagation observation and measurement as well as with numerical simulation of damage accumulation and propagation in the nodular cast iron grade EN-GJS-400-18-LT. Material properties of nodular cast iron are well elaborated in previous authors' papers.
