This paper proposes a bidirectional absorptive common-mode filter (A-CMF) for 5G “green” communication systems. The A-CMF is a balanced-to-balanced structure using interdigitated coupled lines to replace normal double parallel-coupled lines

Adaptive noise canceling for transient absorption microscopy [PDF]
Ultrafast fiber lasers are an attractive alternative to bulk lasers for nonlinear optical microscopy for their compactness and low cost. The high relative intensity noise (RIN) of these lasers poses a challenge for pump-probe measurements such as transient absorption and stimulated Raman scattering, along with modalities that provide label-free ...

The Absorption of Noise in Ventilating Ducts [PDF]
This paper describes an experimental study of noise in ventilating ducts and the quieting effect of a sound absorbing duct lining. The attenuation in decibels per foot length of duct was measured directly, using a loudspeaker as a sound source, for both lined and unlined rectangular ducts of various shapes and sizes, and for various frequencies.
