Flexible, biocompatible PVDF nanofibers embedded with magnetite nanodiscs enable wireless magnetoelectric neuromodulation. Shape anisotropy of the nanodiscs facilitates magnetostrictive strain transfer under alternating magnetic fields, allowing activation of neurons in vitro and behavioral modulation in vivo, without requiring rigid implants or ...

Computational Modeling of Reticular Materials: The Past, the Present, and the Future
Reticular materials are advanced materials with applications in emerging technologies. A thorough understanding of material properties at operating conditions is critical to accelerate the deployment at an industrial scale. Herein, the status of computational modeling of reticular materials is reviewed, supplemented with topical examples highlighting ...

This review explores how in situ and operando spectroscopic techniques reveal the real‐time behavior of reticular materials, including MOFs and COFs. These methods track material formation and functionalization, structural changes, defect formation, dynamic responses to external triggers, and catalytic processes.

State‐of‐the‐Art, Insights, and Perspectives for MOFs‐Nanocomposites and MOF‐Derived (Nano)Materials
Different approaches to MOF‐NP composite formation, such as ship‐in‐a‐bottle, bottle‐around‐the‐ship and in situ one‐step synthesis, are used. Owing to synergistic effects, the advantageous features of the components of the composites are beneficially combined, and their individual drawbacks are mitigated.

Noise Exposures of Rural Adolescents
The Journal of Rural Health, 2011This project was conducted to characterize the noise exposure of adolescents living in rural and agricultural environments. From May to October, 25 adolescents ages 13 through 17, living either on a farm or a rural nonfarm, were enrolled in the study. Subjects received training on the correct operation and use of personal noise dosimeters and the proper

Hypertension and Chronic Exposure to Noise
Archives of Environmental Health: An International Journal, 2000The effects of noise on various cardiovascular parameters are conflicting and uncertain. In the current study, the authors studied 52 workers who were employed in a bedframe factory who were chronically exposed to noise and who had poor hearing. An additional group of 65 workers who had jobs in the light-metal sector and another group of 64 office ...
