Noise-immune phase unwrapping algorithm

Applied Optics, 1989
A new phase unwrapping algorithm is proposed which combines noise immunity with computational efficiency. It is based on the requirement that the unwrapped map should be independent of the route by which unwrapping takes place.

Noise-assisted interactions of tumor and immune cells

Physical Review E, 2011
We consider a three-state model comprising tumor cells, effector cells, and tumor-detecting cells under the influence of noises. It is demonstrated that inevitable stochastic forces existing in all three cell species are able to suppress tumor cell growth completely.

Periodic detector for the noise immune VOX Periodic detector for noise immune VOX

Ocean '74 - IEEE International Conference on Engineering in the Ocean Environment, 1974
The conventional method of obtaining voice operated keying (VOX) depends on sensing energy level. This assumes that the speech signal will produce a signal level which is greater than the noise and the circuit would be set to actuate when the signal exceeded some preadjusted threshold.

Associative amplitude modulation with built-in noise immunity

ICECS 2001. 8th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems (Cat. No.01EX483), 2002
Single-pattern real-valued spectral associative memories (SAMs) are proposed for coding and recalling sampled analog or multi-valued data patterns over noisy channels. SAMs are frequency-domain formulations of associative memory that combine the extrinsic redundancy of neural networks with the in-phase and quadrature modulation schemes of ...

NOISE IMMUNITY OF THE MODEM IN THE CHANNEL WITH "NON- WHITE" NOISE

2022
The monography presents the fundamentals of the theory of construction new-generation modems. Modems are built on the principles of statistical communication theory, based on the use of a random signal (chaos) as a carrier of information. In such a signal, a characteristic function is modulated, which is a fundamental characteristic of a random process.

NOISE IMMUNITY OF ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS

Naval Engineers Journal, 1967
When electronic building‐block systems are employed in industrial control and data‐processing installations particular attention has to be paid to the immunity to noise, either from inherent or extraneous sources. On the one hand it is possible for powerful noise sources to be present in close proximity to the electronic equipment and, on the other ...

Improved noise-immune phase-unwrapping algorithm

Applied Optics, 1995
An algorithm for unwrapping noisy phase maps has recently been proposed, based on the identification of discontinuity sources that mark the start or end of a 2π phase discontinuity. Branch cuts between sources act as barriers to unwrapping, resulting in a unique phase map that is independent of the unwrapping route.

Adaptive noise immunity learning for word spotting

Proceedings of ICASSP '94. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing, 2002
We have developed a word spotting method using adaptive noise immunity learning to achieve robust performance in noisy environments. Previously we proposed a noise immunity word spotting method based on the multiple similarity (MS) method. We also proposed a keyword-based spontaneous speech understanding method and constructed a real-time speech ...
