Updated traffic noise map method based on speed cluster
Applied Acoustics, 2021Traffic noise maps are an important instrument for environmental education and research; these maps directly show the traffic noise distribution in a determining area and period.

Image noise-informative map for noise standard deviation estimation
The problem of automatic detection of image areas that can be reliably selected for accurate estimation of additive noise standard deviation (STD), irrespectively to processed image properties, is considered in this paper. For getting accurate estimate of either texture or noise parameters involved, we distinguish two complementary image informative ...

The application of noise maps for traffic noise reduction
Using a computer model, a traffic noise map was prepared for a 1-km section of one of the most frequently travelled roads in Istanbul. Calculations were carried out in grid intervals of 10 m at 4 m above ground level. Field measurements were also conducted for the same region. The traffic noise map and noise level measurements are compared. Predictions

Noise map validation by continuous noise monitoring
Applied Acoustics, 2011Abstract This paper presents a comparison of two noise assessments in the Gdansk agglomeration in Poland. One is based on the noise map produced by computational method for the city in 2007, the second one is based on real data from continuous measurements acquired by a noise monitoring network operating in the city since 2008.

Proceedings of the 2014 ACM International Joint Conference on Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing: Adjunct Publication, 2014
This demonstration presents a noise map of New York City, based on four ubiquitous data sources: 311 complaint data, social media, road networks, and Point of Interests (POIs). The noise situation of any location in the city, consisting of a noise pollution indicator and a noise composition, is derived through a context-aware tensor decomposition ...
